Diwan-E-Ghalib

The author has given his best to rhyme all couplets and gazals in English as well. As I could understand Urdu well, the translation didn't help me much. But for new-bees this is very helpful and nice book.

Outstanding choice of gazals and very good lucid translation too. Especially the introduction pages are just too awesome. there are many interesting anecdotes related to legends life. I will definitely recommend it to any beginner who wants to explore world of Urdu Poetry with Mirza Ghalib.

It's not something which could have equalled its expression in Urdu ...could have been better

It is a selection not the entire diwan so limited content was expected. However, couplets are missing for even some of the more famous ghazals included. English translation is underwhelming

A good compilation of Ghalib's select Shayari and Gazals reproduced from Urdu into Hindi and translated into English verse.
