This was a perfectly great upgrade for my 18-year-old (YES!) Dell Inspiron laptop, and it works great, only cost about $15, and is perfect for watching movie before bedtime......however, this machine isn't so good for internet, Fortect says due some advances in internet that this old fella can't cope with. I mean, we ARE talking about a technology that 'doujbles everyh 4 years'....But it's a terrific laptop version of a projector as far as I'm concerned. It really has a terrific PICTURE for an 18-year-old computer. And the RAM is great, too. And cheap. I'll watch movies on it until it fades away of old age, just like me. mjm

The perfect upgrade for an 'ancient' laptop that isn't Windows upgradeable... BUT with a new set of 4gb RAM it runs Linux very well! The RAM sticks were easily installed after removing the bottom cover from the laptop - total time was less than 15 minutes. The new RAM was instantly recognized by the BIOS so the rest of the project of installing Linux went smoothly and the grandkids have a 'new' surfin' machine

Upgrade set for a Lenovo T60, no issues as of installation running smoothly, look really nice and well manufactured, packaging was in just a bubble envelope a small box would have been more reassuring for protection.

I used these to double the RAM in an old 2008 iMac. Anyone else reading this review might be interested to know the iMac can use a 2gb + 4gb configuration. In the end the computer still isn't that good, but that's a story for another day.
