Hed Kandi: Twisted Disco 117 Various

Buy this CD now. 'Twisted Disco 87' will be one of the best in 2009. Both CD's rock in this two disc compilation. A few weeks ago I decided to take a my radio to the pool. By the end of the third track of CD1, I was asked by several people to 'turn it up'. By the end of the the second CD, what was just another Saturday at the pool had turned into a rockin pool party. I like to think that Hed Kandi was the cause of the spontaneous pool party that day, and I look forward to a summer of many more.

I'm a longtime fan of the "Twisted Disco" fan from Hed Kandi, every compilation always surprises me with some of the best and unknown club rockers, but I don't remember any of them sounding quite like this latest release!There are definately some hot "twisted" beats, but this CD has a lot of fun electronic songs too that I wouldn't usually expect from the series. Examples include the spunky, ticklish track "Disco Volante" the aquatic "Falling" and robotic "Let it Go". Of course there are some signature twisted beatz as well, like the dirrty "More" by the talented Junkie XL and the bassy "Freak" by Sandy Rivera. Other standout tracks are "Ohh La Lishious" "A Beautiful Life" and disco epic "Get Down (Rock it Up)"Overall I was quite pleased and even a little surprised by the quality of this release! I always have high expecations when it's coming from Hed Kandi, but this one really fufilled my dancing needs! Great release, and definately worth the price.

Hed Kandi was cream of the crop for sophiticated dance CD's, well no more. Since Hed Kandi's creative founder left it has been a steady drop in the quality of the Hed Kandi product, and this new Twisted Disco series release has to be the saddest yet. I love the artists listed but the mixes are dull, the tracks do not build any momentum. Twisted Disco releases used to be naughty down and dirty fun, this one is just down. Just because the mix is deeper and darker does not make it good or interesting. This CD is a prime example.

Hace un par de meses que salió a la venta el nuevo compilado Hed Kandi Twisted Disco.Esta es la segunda versión de este 2008, como es habitual en Hed Kandi y casi un clásico con sus variaciones de House,Disco House,Latin House y aunque esta serie es la mejor dentro del sello por aportar algo diferente en cada uno de sus CDS.Porque decimos eso,pues porque "Twisted Disco" siempre nos ofrece un sonidos más oscuros y con algo más de ritmo que el habitual House melódico que siempre colocan en sus ediciones.Y lo que ofrece esta compilación son dos CDS,el primero consta de 12 cortes y el segundo de 13 cortes respectivamente.Simplemente han recopilado estos 25 cortes juntando los mejores temas y remixs del pasado año,varios de los cortes que llevan ambos CDS merecen mucho la pena aunque no hagamos mención de ellosSi les gusta el sonido profundo del house y la electronica, pues les invito dar un paseo en el mundo obscuro y duro pero a la vez sexy de Twisted Disco 2008. I wish somebody had warned me that this stinks ! Worst of the Twisted Disco for sure !

I bought this with the 'auto rip' as a pull, as I love playing it straight after ordering while I'm waiting for it to come! Got only 2 rubbish songs not even on the cd. Called amazon but despite their apologies and attempt to rectify I never got anywhere and remain auto rip-less to this day! Cd ok looooove headkandi and have a massive collection. Other auto rips have been fab .....

The Twisted "genre" of Hed kandi has always been my favourite of all their releases and so I always look forward to the annual release. However, this years effort I have to say is really disappointing as its nowhere near the normal quality of other years Twisted releases. There are a couple of decent tracks like - Daniel Bovie mix of South Street Players "Who Keeps changing your Mind" hence the 3 stars, but even after listening a few times it still isn't doing it. I would suggest you listen to the album digitally first before buying it.

i wanted this cd because i wanted a unmixed version of c'mon,that it says on the track listing is the second track on disk two and now ive got the cd the track listed is totaly different to what is wrote on this page

I lurve hed kandithis cd is the 1st twisted disco I own, its very uplifting & quite basey.will definitely consider twisted disco cds in the future.

Disc 1 is excellent but disc 2 is fantastic, especially tracks 4 and 5. Can't tell you how many times I've listened to it already. Possibly the best Hed Kandi yet!
