Q: Does this machine just melt chocolate or does it actually temper the chocolate as well?

This chocolate melting machine will not automatically temper chocolate, however you can use it to temper chocolate. For milk chocolate set temperature control to 46c/115f then add seeding chocolate and reduce the temperature setting to 30c/86f. The chocolate has to be kept mobile during the process to ensure uniform temperature of chocolate.
