I cooked some of the best steaks I've ever had on this grill right over an open fire. This grill was perfect for it.

Smaller than I imagined but does the job and the size worked out to our benefit considering we pack everything except the kitchen sink when we go camping. I wish I had taken a better pick showing how we used it. We stood it on the existing grate so it was like a second shelf . It withstood a really blazing fire with no melting of the paint. Nice find if your looking for a smaller basic grate.

I got it for grilling on the fire, as my fiance wanted to try it, and she/I loved it. It works great.

We got this to go with a propane jet burner and it serves its purpose. Manufacturing quality is pretty low. The paint isn't great and we expect this to rust in short order. The mesh is pretty thin so you don't want to use heavy cast iron pots unless they span out to the outer bars.

I'm so glad I have this! At first, I thought this was going to be heavy and a bit bulky, but it's NOT AT ALL! It's so light, so easy to clean that we backpack it every time we hit the trail! Straps right in to the front of someone's pack. We set it right smack in the middle of our campfire over the biggest of coals and it still remains easy to clean and looking like new! One time we unscrewed the sides (legs) off before backpacking. This made it even more portable/compact. Might I also add that it washes up quite easy!

This grill is extremely basic, and that is one of its biggest strengths! It's literally just a few pieces of metal held together by a handful of screws and nuts. When I first got it, one of the legs was really stiff and kind of a pain to move. But because it's such a simple design, I confidently loosened one of the bolts and it was perfectly fine after that.I do recommend putting this over a fire and letting it get really hot, then cool, then clean it before the first time you cook food on it. That's what I did and it has been great! I've grilled a couple hotdogs, some hamburgers and a steak both at home and while camping.It's great how thin it folds up making it really easy to pack up and take with me when I do go camping with it, and it makes for a great addition on our fire pit in our backyard when I don't want to have to go through the trouble of lighting up the whole bbq grill.
