I purchased this light about three months ago and use it for early morning and evening runs. I always run with a hat and have been disappointed in other headband type lights I've tried, they never really stay in place and seem to be more bulky. The Thorfire stays in place fine on a hat, is light weight, and isn't obstructive. I don't use it every run, or even keep it turned on all the time while running with it, but the battery has held up well and it doesn't seem to have lost much brightness yet. It's not extremely bright but enough so to show what's in the road ahead of you. I wouldn't use it for trail running or on rough terrain as it simply isn't bright enough and doesn't cast a long enough beam - I don't think anything in this price range would be suitable for that though, honestly. My only real complaint is that, due to how it's constructed, there is a gap in the housing that lets some light shine back at your face/eyes. It isn't enough to blind you or anything, but is just a bit of a nuisance to me; I'd think there would be way to make it without such a gap existing. However, aside from that minor complaint, it works well and I have no problem recommending it or giving it 5 stars.

The media could not be loaded.    I wanted to compare this to an item that I saw on QVC but my husband said I shouldnt use their images or video. So I will just TALK about it. They sold a hat that had a light made into it. They spoke about it having a battery pack that you could "hardly" feel and that the cap was stylish. I instantly started laughing because all I could think was this hat light solved every problem. You wouldnt have to buy just that one style of hat they offered to start with. As this goes on ANY hat. Even with the battery in, its very light and you will forget its even on the hat, as my husband did. This light costs less than the hat they were offering. Again, you can put this on ANY hat with a bib. Its been used instead of a flashlight in many occasions. This frees up both your hands to do whatever it is that you need to do. No holding a flashlight or your phone to light up that area. This works great and the price is perfect

I bought two to serve as my primary headlamp. After a chance encounter with a not-quite-dead bear (please don't tell my mom), I decided I needed something much brighter.Still, I highly recommend these lights. They take almost no space or weight, and are more than adequate lighting for a basic trek out of the woods.

I'm gonna admit that after I pulled the trigger on this item I immediately had buyer's remorse - why did I buy a cap light that goes under instead of over my cap's bill ?PROS - nice 5 led focused, not wide lighted area, feels and performs tough, easy on/off switch, kind of a non-slip rubberized coating, small and lightweight, very secure on hat, lights are adjustable ( I didn't think it was a big deal till I got to camp - now I love the light aimed at exactly where I need it and not in everyone else's eyes ), affordableCONS - this thing is huge - I mean, it's just like if you put your thumb under the front of your hat's bill - you will get cross-eyed - weak link is the assembly where the light pivots ( altho not so far ) - hat clip is very strong - so much so that my hat's bill is getting scratched upThat's all the pertinent info - I'm still on the fence about purchasing it but it does get 5 stars for excelling at what it does do

These are well made, last long and very useful. They are not heavy on the brim of your hat. My wife just carries hers or puts it on her shirt or jacket. The beam of light can be adjusted depending on what you are working on. The batteries last long. I have used it on three camping trips and haven't changed them yet. It feels really well made. It might be made in China but it feels like good quality.

Holds onto your hat pretty well, the clip seems to be very strong. Very easy to reach the battery. I got this for camping and it is great because my husband wore it on his hat while setting up the tent, and it was also great for hiking and when he took the dog out in the evening to see where he was walking. Really easy to use, just clip and go. The lights are very bright which is nice and it comes with a battery already installed. It illuminates a large area. This was great for seeing when hiking at night and I use it even at home while grilling outside in the dark because it is hands free so I can use both hands to grill with and still see unlike when I try to hold my cell phone. Also curved to ergonomically fit the brim of your cap. I am using this while at the coast guard doing late night watch standing runs, then my hands still get to be free!

Really wanted to love this little light, but just can't. First the good.- the price I paid was very reasonable. Almost gave it 4 stars just because it is so cheap.- it appears to be well engineered. Very solid.- the best feature is it has a very solid clip for my baseball hat and stays attached even when the hat is hanging on a hook on the wall. Quite nice.Now the not so good.- I use the light for walking. The light really is only capable of shining about 4 feet in front of me. And the light that makes it to the pavement is quite dim. It really is not enough light.- I even tried replacing the two batteries, to see if that would help. It did not.So in summary, this light would probably work if you were sitting and needed it to shine say to a desk top. So perhaps a distance of 2-3'. I cannot recommend it for walking, running or camping. Just not enough light.

Clip is strong enough that it actually stays attached to my ball cap brim. I like that you can adjust the angle of the lights, this allows you to focus the light on the proper spot on the ground no matter what your height and speed are. Lights are nice and bright and do a good job of illuminating the ground. Would buy this again!

Only had it for a while but the light is very bright, very useful. Small and light to easily stay on a ballcap. Was used while fixing something under the vehicle and it worked great. Would purchase again.

Have to get used to seeing something 'hanging' from running cap. Weight of light also made me have to tighten the cap more to keep it on my head while running. Otherwise, good strong light.
