Disney Songbook (with finger tabs) for the 12 hole ocarina

This songbook came really early! Two days after I ordered it. I got this book for my friend for Christmas and I think she's going to love it! Its very good for beginners and the fingering is accurate and on point from what I played. It has many classic Disney songs from Snow White to Frozen, and is very easy to learn. Only complaint is that a lot of the songs aren't played in their entirety, so if your looking for a more advanced version I'd suggest going online and googling Disney 12-hole ocarina tabs. Also I wish it came in more protective packaging, it just came in a small box with no wrapping but that's just a minor complaint. Overall, I think there's something in it for every ocarina player and Disney fan, very nostalgic and a blast to play.

I should have read the product description more closely before purchasing the PDF version from the Songbird site. If you're new to the ocarina and familiar with the songs ocadots (visual representations of ocarina fingering) might be preferable, but if you have any experience reading music the complete lack of lyrics and notation is disappointing. I actually find the songs harder to play because a finger chart doesn't provide an accurate sense of timing, nor does it let you easily identify whether you are sounding the correct note. It's also slightly annoying that the thumb holes are not always pictured (they're to be considered covered unless indicated otherwise). However, this songbook is great for beginners familiar with these songs since they can jump right in, and it's a bargain at seven to eight dollars for 30 Disney themes. Please note that this book is specifically for 12-hole ocarinas.

Songs in the book sound beautiful on my daughters ocarina. The songs also are fairly easy to get the hang of with enough practice.

Easy to follow, lots of good songs. Some of the notes are wrong on maybe one or 2 songs but it's not that noticable

Songs are accurate to fingering, but many of the songs only include the chorus instead of the full song. It's fine if you're just learning, but if I were you, I'd just search up a free version of the full song you want.

Ocarina is very nice quality and makes a beautiful sound, and the book is very easy to follow and learn the songs

This book arrived today and I'm so happy to have it. But upon opening the shipping envelope which also included an ocarina and a pair of small earlings, was saddened to find this book slightly crushed under the ocarina box. It was not properly supported with a hard price of cardboard, peice of thick cardstock or bubbled wrapped to protect this very thin, soft covered booklet. It definitely detracts from the otherwise beautiful, glossy apperence.Otherwise this is a nice book. Things to keep in mind if you're looking to purchase this:It has only the chorus of a few songs so keep that in mind.It's written in tabs, not sheet music which may or may not be good for you.The tabs and text are very cleanly printed. It is easy to see and understand what ever picture says. They are on the smaller side but I don't think they are too small.It's a thin paperback book, which is not supported in anyway during shipping.I can't "use" it more until after Christmas as it's a gift for my significant other (but kind of myself as well haha!) So I'll update more if I find more to speak on.
