I purchased this wheelchair for my disabled 8 year old son.He has a huge wheelchair supplied by wheelchair services but it weighs 36 kg and I can not lift it easily and it doesn’t fit into the boot of most cars.I also have arthritis so a light wheelchair is essential.He is tall for his age ( wearing 10-11 clothes) and the narrow sized chair I purchased is perfect for him.His feet just touch the footplates at the highest position without a seat cushion , which I purchased as an extra and it was not needed as the chair is very well padded and comfy.I should imagine he has a few years of use in this chair.It folds up nice and small and even fits in the boot of my tiny 2017 Kia Picanto with the parcel shelf removed and I still have room for 3 bags of groceries !It is light and easy to lift in and out of the car.It is very easy to push and looks nice.The lap belt is very useful for a child but he can undo it, so parents of children should consider that.I use a special neoprene positioning safety strap which is removable and fastens at the back to keep him safe.You can buy these for about £20.This chair was an absolute bargain at £99 on Prime and delivered within 48 hours.It is over £160 cheaper than if you purchased it directly from the company that make them.I saw this exact chair in a local mobility shop for £299 and was able to try it before I purchased it.Very pleased with this chair, it will mean I can get out and about with my son more.

We got this chair in narrow, for my mum who is 93. Her old chair was too heavy for easy carriage in my boot, and was an old model, designed for a heavy person. This new chair is a world away - quite light, with a very comfortable seat and arm rests for mum.My one complaint is that I too thought it has no handbrake, which it does, by pushing the brake handles down. Maybe a sticker on the back, telling you about this would be useful - especially as other people will be using this chair for my mum, and may not see the way to apply the brake in this manner. Overall, a great chair !

Excellent wheelchair for indoor transport of injured or disabled people. Can bu used outside on not so rough surfaces. Recommended product and seller.

The chair is lightweight yet sturdy, and easy to push.It folds down easily and is definitely going to make life easier on days out.

Exactly what we wanted. A narrow but sturdy chair to move my mother around indoors in our park home. Sturdy enough for outdoors as well, but we have another, wider, chair for when we take her out. Particularly impressed by the foot rests which swing all the back to the sides, so that Mum doesn't knock her legs on them when getting in or out of the chair.
