I usually wear an 11. Those were huge. Returned for a 10.5. Those were too big too! Returned for a 10.0 and they are just right. Love them! But they definitely run big. Thank goodness for Amazon’s easy returns.

Q: are they true to size?

Size down. Very awkward fit. Not the best of converse.

Q: Knit material? Which is better? The original canvas ones or these in knit material?

I love the knit. I am a true 10 but in these the 9 fits perfectly and better than my regular shorelines which usually hurt the side of my pinkie toe. In Converse I always size down to a 9.5 but in these a full size. I wear these all the time and I’m getting a second pair for when mine wear down.

Q: Can I change the shoelaces to be able tie a bow?

Yes, you can un-do the knots and remove these laces and put in longer laces to tie a regular bow.
