Rain beads up on the surface so know they are water resistant. Have never been out in rain for long enough to know if they are truly waterproof.

Yes, these are really comfortable pants, and should be great in hot and humid weather while providing protection. They are quick-dry, so if you get them wet, they dry really fast. I've wore them on hikes, and even to amusement parks in Orlando during hot summer.

Q: Are these closer to baggy or slim?

I got a pair of 50x30 and they fit pretty good. A bit snug in the crotch area when sitting in the car. Legs are straight fit but really baggy on me. But its nice having that bit of mobility.

Q: Is the color 'fossil' a light gray or more beige/tan with these pants? Or is 'tusk' more a gray tone than 'fossil'?

The fossil is more of a bone and the tusk (my fave) is very much like brittish khaki

Great hiking pants.

Very nice pants for hiking. Light weight and can take the North West brush without snagging. Dries fast after getting wet.

I ordered a pair with a 30" inseam. They came labeled as a 30" inseam but measured 32". What's so difficult about labeling a product with the proper size?
