One of the best curling irons I have ever used! I'm not very good at styling my hair, yet I find this very easy for me to use. It's easy to hold and curls my hair wonderfully! I also love how affordable it is! I have had another size curling iron from this same brand for almost ten years now and it still works great. I also love that it comes with a glove to protect you from burning your hand. I guess the only possible negative is that you can't control the temperature but I am fine with how hot it gets.

Great price and great product. VERY hard to cut out of packaging! I have been using my clamp Babyliss 1.25" curler but instead of clamping the hair I wrapped my hair around it. A lot of times I'd end up with a mark from where the clamp was so I finally decided to get myself an actual wand curler and let me tell you, this one has NOT disappointed me! Pros: heats up very quickly, takes 15 seconds for a really tight curl that lasts me all day, excellent price point Cons: one heat setting (my Babyliss has so many!), cord is about 2 ft. shorter than my previous curler, my hair slightly gets stuck on part of it when i'm sliding it down from the barrel Normally, my hair cannot hold a curl for more than a few hours, even if I use hair spray. For reference, the picture i'm posting of my hair is AFTER brushing it out 9 hours after originally curling it, and this is in the static of winter. So this is GREAT performance in my world!

I spent so many hours researching for a new curling iron and I'm happy to report that I know I made the best possible choice. After a decade of using my black barrel, ceramic tourmaline Hot Tools curling iron, I finally had to say goodbye to it (it eventually didn't get as hot as it used to and I finally killed it when I took it abroad and plugged it into a 220V, when it's not made for that). It was a very long run so I knew I was over due anyway. My requirements for my new curling iron: needed to be ceramic tourmaline, a clip-less and non-tapered wand, heat up to at least 400 degrees, dual voltage (since I travel a lot), and 1.25-1.50 inch round (I have long hair that comes past my shoulders). This iron met all those requirements, and is made by the reputable Helen of Troy, so I went for it. Just like my last curling iron, I am able to curl my hair using no hairspray and still see loose curls the next day (I have thick, shiny, Asian hair). The iron heats up very quickly. For more casual/loose/beach waves, I was able to let go of the strand of hair just as I'm finishing wrapping it around the wand, which meant I was able to curl my entire head in record time. Holding the strand of hair on the wand for an extra few seconds will achieve tighter curls. The only complaint I have, which is why I had to knock off a star, is that in the first few curls I tried, a strand of my hair would get pulled out and stuck at the base of the iron where the iron meets the plastic stand. This was very annoying but I quickly adjusted my technique to avoid wrapping my hair near the base, and curling more towards the tip of barrel. After this little adjustment, I was able to quickly finish the rest of the strands with no issues. Hopefully they fix this design issue so that it can truly become the perfect long-hair curling wand. It truly rivals, if not beats, the irons that cost over $100.

I had planned on purchasing the babyliss pro curling iron in the same width after seeing a famous instagram hairstylist using it, but the reviews on Amazon were just ok and the price point was higher. I decided to do a general search for 1-1/4 curling iron and this one came up with a lot better reviews. I really like this curling wand. It gives me bigger, looser waves unlike the smaller wand I already own. It’s easy to use and functional in its design. It doesn’t allow you to set temperature like the babyliss one supposedly does, but it still works well for me. I may purchase the other to satisfy my curiousity, but I have no complaints about this Bed Head wand and would definitely recommend to others.

Great iron when it lasted. unfortunately after a few month the curling iron doesn't heat very high, too bad because i loved the on/off button and the fact that it was dual voltage, Great for travel.

I read so many reviews on so many wands that I felt compelled to write this. Short version: I LOVE this thing. The only drawback to this wand IMO is there’s only one heat setting (about 400 degrees) so if you have finer hair it may not be the best for you. I have really thick hair and usually need the high temp anyway. To address the reviews where people claimed they were burned.. honestly, the risk factor is the exact same as any other hot tool. If you’ve never curled your hair before, I can see being burned, but having used curling irons and flat irons for years, I thought this was super easy to use. I don’t feel the curls last any longer than with a curling iron, but I’m not quite sure why anyone would expect that they would. My main goal of using a wand was to avoid that clamp crimp you get with a traditional iron, and this definitely eliminated that. I haven’t used other wands so I can’t compare but I definitely like this one A LOT.

This iron is my favorite!!! I have long thick hair and I’m kind of picky about how my curls look... I don’t want them too right because with thick hair it gets poofy and I want them to last. I’d pay triple what I did for this iron because it’s that good! You can even create different curles based on how you wrap your hair around the barrel and the direction and brushing it out etc. I’m so happy I got it! Only thing that others might be bothered by is the inability to adjust the temperature, it’s just an in/off switch. That doesn’t bother me though because I use a high heat setting anyway for my heavy hair. I’ve been looking so long for the perfect size / price / good quality iron and this is amazing!

It only has one temperature, which may bother some people, but I didn't care. This has a thick barrel and, for my shoulder length layered hair, it is difficult to use. It works great for what it is, I'm just warning others that you might go with a smaller barrel. The glove also takes some getting used to. But I have very small hands and managed to make it work. I wish it came with two gloves so I don't have to keep switching it around. I also wish it came with a storage sleeve. But the price is great so you can always buy one. I'd recommend it.

I have bought 3 curling irons (yes, three) to try, and none of them worked for me. One was with a clamp that was too difficult/complicated for me, the other was a cone-shaped one that made all my hair into super tight curls...but THIS one was really "third times the charm." Yes, the temperature is pre-set, which may not be ideal for those with thinner hair, but I have medium hair that is also slightly coloured, and this is PERFECT for me! I love very loose, natural-looking curls/waves, and this wand provides exactly that. It comes with a protective glove that you can wear while curling, and it's just fantastic for a beginner like me. Absolutely love this wand, and I'm so glad I found it on Amazon.ca!

Glove is useful! Curls are looking great! Does the job for sure! Not necessarily fast though.

Es muy bueno y funciona perfecto pero lo recomiendo para pelo largo solamente, porque es muy ancho. Ahora que me corté el pelo no me sirve.

This is a nice wand but beware, there is no heat setting. Its 400° or off.
