I was just about to drop $400 on a custom window insert when my wife discovered this product. At $20, this is a no brainer for casement windows. The good: works like a charm. Pretty easy to install. Keeps out bugs way better than I thought. Fairly fast to take the AC unit hose out, and when done right, this still allows the window to close when you take the ac unit out. On my window we can even unzip the seal and put the screen back in for nights that are cool and we don't need AC! Be aware: The seal fabric doesn't muffle noise much, but you probably won't be able to hear the outdoors over your AC unit anyway. The stick on the velcro is okay, but it has come off a little bit for us--you could consider nailing the velcro to the window with small nails and leaving the velcro but taking the fabric in during the winter. Real concerns: security; if you're on the ground floor, a person could easily unzip the seal, reach in and open the window, and climb into your house. I live in the country so I don't have issues using this at night, but I bring in the AC hose and close the window when I'm away during the day. I would think twice about using this on the ground floor in a city.

This thing is a lifesaver. They've found a way to install a portable AC in the most difficult window imaginable. It's not a breeze to install, but I can't see how they could have made it any easier. Perhaps including a little more adhesive velcro would be nice to account for installation mistakes. It'd also be nice if they could figure out a way to make the seal between the zipper and the exhaust hose a little more air-tight. I am imagining something with elastic. But these are extremely minor gripes, I'm quite happy with the product and the price.

This product works great. It was very easy to install. It under represents itself because it works GREAT for a sliding glass door as you can see in the photograph. For 10 years I have been looking for a solution for sliding glass door venting solution for my portable AC and had finally relented that I would have get one designed for a vertical window which we also have. To my surprise but this was plenty big for a full size sliding glass door as you can see. ( FYI I just upgraded my AC unit to a very generic but well-designed and sturdy and so far very well functioning portable air conditioning / dehumidifier. It is simply listed as portable air conditioner model number EP 22783 also through Amazon of course).

This gets the job done kinda but the velcro detaches in places and that lets bugs in. I think it would work fine if you also buy brand name velcro tape and use that to put it up.

This is one of the stupidest and most frustrating products I've ever bought. With instructions that make no sense and tell you to "remove fat from window" and diagrams that were clearly computer generated and feature what looks like a melting AC unit and a window that opens in uncomfortable Kafkaesque fashions if I hadn't mangled it trying to make it work I would try to return it. I'd say not to buy this for casement windows that open outwards, but I don't know what kind of windows you WOULD buy this for. Looks like I'll be duct taping cardboard to my sills like a savage instead of a more elegant solution.

I have a stand-alone A/C unit. My current room has windows that crank out which doesn't work with the installation package that was included with my unit. (Which is fitted for a standard window that slides up and down.) This kit is a great solution to that problem. It comes with a roll of velcro that has adhesive on the other side. You can easily install it by peeling back the sticker layer as you apply it to the window. The fabric piece easily sticks to the velcro and will adjust to however your window is set up. It only took me about 30 mins to install the first time. Once the velcro strip is up, it's very quick and easy to take down and put up again. I personally have left mine up for the summer and it still allows you to close your window. The fabric does let through a little heat still on especially warm days (which is understandable since it is a fabric.) But all in all, it is worth it and a lifesaver to me! The price is reasonable as well in my opinion.

I really was skeptical with purchasing this but wasn't too sure what to do for filling the gap in a large side opening window so thought I'd give it a try. I am very glad I did! It was the perfect solution for filling in the space on this large window. The item doesn't come with any instructions but I remember that one of the product images is the instructions so if you purchase and are not sure how to install just refer to that image. Very easy to install anyways so you don't really need a lot of instructions. All in all surprisingly happy with this purchase since I was figuring that it wouldn't work and would end up returning it!

I have a crank style window in our apartment... 1. This product does not tell you that you would have to monkey it around the crank to make it work. 2. The zipper sucks. When you try to seal the duct...the zipper cannot carry the weight of the typical duct of the portable A/C. 3. The product is too long to wrap around the window so you'll have extra product that you need to tuck somewhere because you can't trim it. 4. One positive thing I can say is that the adhesive on the velcro is good enough to hold the weight of the product and the duct. You are better off putting a sturdy board and cut out an opening by tracing the end part of your airconditioning unit's duct. You can screw it on the board or use a very good adhesive (hotglue might even work but perhaps try a heavy duty double sided tape).

Bu üründe hem yapıştırma bandı çıkmadığı gibi, ürün iki yerinden yırtık (defolu) ezilmiş geldi. Bir kullanma talimatı bile yoktu. Bu kadar kötü paketlemeye mi, kullanım kılavuzu ve yapıştırma bandının olmamasına mı yanayım, 2 haftadır yurt dışından beklediğim ürünün böyle çıkmasına mı yanayım, mobil klimayı çalıştıramamaktan dolayı pişmemize mi yanayım, amazonun bu kadar kötü bir ürünü göndermesine mi? Bu kadar rezalet olamaz.

je l'ai installé en 30 minutes , le temps de bien nettoyer pour une bonne adhérence de l'adhésif qui est très collant donc qui tient j'avais regardé un ou deux tutoriel avant et au final c'est très simple , pourtant c'était sur une porte fenêtre , je ne comprends pas les avis qui disent qu'ils ont mis des heures, que ça ne colle pas , que ça s'arrache ?? que c'est pas la bonne dimension (ils savent calculer ou quoi ?) un vrai plaisir de profiter de sa clim mobile. c'est l'idéal pour les gens comme moi qui ne sont pas bricoleurs , sinon effectivement SI on achète une paroi isolante, si on a le matériel pour faire un trou si on veut du parfait, si et si , on peut avoir mieux.

A me piace...permette di tenere alzata tapparella e fuori tubo senza aria esterna che entra. Facile da fissare. A mio parere è buon compromesso. C'è zip e posso fare entrare aria per arieggiare al mattino. Il velcro poi sarà da togliere ma pazienza.

Très pratique, simple à installer.. ça fait le travail !
