Is this safe for a recent transplant?

Yes but use at 1/2 normal. Better to use 20-20-20 for overall growth. Use the 1/2 normal with that also.

What color is the product? When I first started using this it was brown then the next time I bought it, it was blue.

This particular blend has been blue for at least 3 years. I believe this same company does make a blend (sea grow) that is brown.

This is a wonderful product. It will get your plants blooming. Works well on my hibiscus, plumeria, and bougainvillea. I mix with fish emulsion liquid fertilizer to get max results.
