EXCELLENT CHAIR
5-star rating is completely fair for this product! I own 3 of these chairs and bought a couple others for friends and family at their request after they felt how comfortable mine is. Hands down the best outdoor chairs money can buy. My father hates buying new things and will use things until they completely fall apart. However, he is getting older and needs the extra back support. I got him this chair in hopes that he would spend more time outside and would find it comfortable... HE LOVES IT. He used it all Spring, Summer, and Fall... he would even put on his coat and sit or lie on the chair in the winter. The Caravan canopy zero gravity reclining chair with adjustable headrest is the perfect outdoor chair. Comfortable enough to want to keep inside, but can withstand all types of weather outside (ie. Rain, snow storm, etc). It also folds up conveniently for transport or storage. My chair was covered in snow for a couple of months and it seems to have no damage at all. As soon as the snow melted, I started to use my chair again. The chair offers superior lumbar support and a headrest that works for all body types. Great for sitting and reading or lying back and taking in the sun. I am 6'1" and about 180 pounds. This chair is perfect for me. I have seen people much smaller and much bigger enjoy the chair. However, there is an "oversized" option for this same chair that you can buy if you are over 6'2" and think it may be a tight fit. I would DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS CHAIR! (I promise I don't work for whatever company sells this chair, but I am a huge fan and have probably attributed to nearly 50 purchases of this chair just by people trying it at my house and immediately deciding to buy their own) Hope this review helped!

Looks a lot more expensive than it is !
I've always wanted one of these zero gravity chairs . I've had friends who have dropped 100 bucks just on one . Even though they are comfortable, I felt like I could find one cheaper so I turned to Amazon and found this one and immediately bought two, one for me and my husband. I will be honest when I say that most things I own I "run" pretty hard until it is dead or no longer usable. My outdoor furniture is no exception to my abuse. Once spring came (I purchased these in December) I had them outside constantly. I'm not one to fold them up and put them in a shed or garage. The fabric has overall held up very well during this particularly hot and sunny summer. The head rest shows some discoloration (as you can tell by the photos - brown area , the white splotch is bird poop) ... But it seems as if it is just dust (we live on a dirt road ) and most likely can be power washed/scrubbed off . If you have never owned one of these chairs they are quite versatile . They are attractive and substantial enough to hold their own as deck and/or outdoor furtinure - but still light enough to take to a bonfire, camp out , etc. they are a bit heavy to carry long distances , so I wouldn't take them to an outdoor concert for instance, if I had to walk more than a block or two ... I LOVE the color (gray.) It worked perfect with the outside of our house and looks more expensive than it actually is . As for the actually sitting part (the whole reason you are probably looking to buy a chair !) it's extremely comfortable ! I fall asleep in these things at least once a week - especially if I'm by the fire ! The fabric is not itchy and doesn't irritate the backs of your legs, even in the summer when they are sweaty. The head rest is a nice bonus - adjustable and removable for all hieghts and preferences . The foot mechanism that makes the chair recline and come back up is fluid and easy to use (even after being outside all summer !) I really would reccomend this to anyone needed outdoor furniture. You can't go wrong for the price and quality

A very comfortable chair at an outstanding price
I've owned a few zero gravity chairs including the what I think was the original zero gravity chair. That one I owned for at least ten years, changed the elastic once and finally retired it a few weeks ago after I purchased this one. This one is good. Very good. Better than some that I've tried or owned over the years, but definitely not as good as the original even though one or two things are better than that one. Okay, so what do I like.... the pulls that lock the chair into position are the best I've seen on any of these chairs. You know when the chair is locked and the switch is easy to manuever which I appreciate. The color is also very nice though more navy than the cobalt pictured. And finally, the chair is quite comfortable. What I don't like as much.... the front of the of the chair hits the ground at an odd angle which makes getting into the chair a little (but only a little) more awkward. My other little niggling complaint (and it is little as well) is that when reclining, the chair drops suddenly back if you're not careful. What I like about the older chair is that you can slowly move to the position you want. That might not seem like a big deal to you but it IS a bit of a rude awakening if you go slamming back faster than you had intended. BOTTOM LINE: All in all its a great chair. Not the best zero gravity ever but if you've never been in a zero gravity chair you just don't know what you're missing. They're fabulous and this one is as well. Its just not five star perfect. Pretty darn close though. Maybe 4.6 stars.

Best Seat In the House
I wanted a comfortable reclining chair for my den, but did not want to spend hundreds of dollars for a fancy La-Z-Boy, so last year, I purchased an Intex Inflatable Lounge Chair from Amazon. As I mentioned on my review of this product, I found it to be almost as comfortable as a La-Z-Boy. But after using it for a few months,I had to give up on it because I found it too be too difficult to get in and out of, and it seemed to slowly leak air over time, and thus needed to be periodically reinflated, which was a hassle. So when I saw the Caravan Canopy Zero Gravity reclining Chair on sale on Amazon for under $40, I decided to buy one and give it a try, especially in view of all the favorable reviews it has received. And, boy, I'm glad I did. This is by far the most comfortable chair in my home, and is almost as comfortable as a La-Z-Boy costing ten times as much. Plus, it easily folds up so I can move it to another room if I wish. The construction is rugged and sturdy, and because I do not plan to use it outdoors and expose it to the elements, it should last a long time. In the fully reclined position, I found it unnecessary to engage the locking mechanism to keep the back in place. And because this chair has solid armrests and is not low to the floor like the Intex lounger, it is easy to get in and out of. The adjustable padded head rest is a nice touch, and padded armrests would have been nice, but this is a minor quibble. If you are looking for an inexpensive alternative to a La-Z-Boy or other full-size recliner for your den, recreation room, patio or back yard, you can't go wrong with the Caravan Canopy. It's so comfortable and relaxing that you, too, may soon find it to be the best seat in the house. Pros: Very comfortable with good back support. Adjusts easily to reclining or upright position. Easy to get in and out of. Durable, sturdy construction. Folds easily for storage or transport. Adjustable, padded headrest. Cons: Armrests not padded. Looks a little like a wheelchair without wheels in the upright position.

Very comfortable!
You can drop a grand on expensive wrought iron or wicker furniture OR you can get something more comfortable and more versatile for a fraction of the cost! Using this chair, you can sit up straight, recline partially (which i usually do), or recline to a sleeping position and I find each of these positions to be very comfortable. It does not, however, allow you to lay out flat, such as if you wanted lay on your stomach. You will need a true lawn chair for that. This chair is similar in operation to a recliner but it reclines further and puts your feet higher than most recliners do. Also, the back and the feet move together. Most of you are probably wondering about the length and size of the chair, so I will do my best to give you an idea. I am 6'1" and 200 lbs. When I lay on the chair with my legs extended, the bottom bar rests under my achilles. However, I rarely sit like that - I usually use the bar as a foot rest and is one of my favorite features. If i do straighten my legs with my achilles on the bar it is not uncomfortable. Without the pillow, the top of my head would rest on the top bar. But since the pillow can be moved up pretty high, I would say it could accommodate someone even a little taller than me. I would not get the wide version because it would be unnecessarily more expensive and would put the armrests farther out. My father-in-law is 5'11" 270 lbs and is also comfortable in this chair. These chairs fold up tightly and store easily in our garage when not in use. If you grab the right part (turn them sideways and grab the middle bar) it carries easily with one hand. Some people have complained about the grips slipping when the chair partially reclined. I have noticed this too, but only if I'm moving around, like if I lean forward to reach for something. When I'm leaned back into the chair, the chair is centrally balanced and doesn't slip for me. If I notice that the grips have moved, I just readjust and re-tighten. The grips are right by your hands so this isn't hard to do. Overall, this hasn't been an irritation for me. I am glad I read other peoples comments about rust. Mine are usually under our covered patio, but I would not allow these sit out in the rain uncovered. The outside metal is water treated, but the inside is not, so the inside could collect water, rust, and potentially spill onto your clothes or something else. UPDATE Oct 1 2014: Have owned them for two years and still love em. UPDATE Feb 29 2019: Still use the chairs, but the bottom is stretching out a little. Also, I wish the grips were stronger.

EXCELLENT CHAIR
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0032UY0BU/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_4 Okay, there are so many good things about this chair I will just list them below. Suffice it to say you're wasting time by reading this. You should just go buy it immediately and use the time you saved to make yourself a milkshake in honor of this spectacular purchase. • It comes pre-assembled. Yes, all of it. Absolutely no effort required. Estimated assembly time: none. I can't remember if I had to attach the pillow, but if so, whatever, it's basically no effort. • It comes neatly folded up and covered in one plastic cover. That's right - the only stuff to discard/recycle is one (thin and reasonably sized) cardboard box and one plastic bag. That's all. • The chair is both lightweight and sturdy. But heavy enough not to get blown around in wind and whatnot. It has struck a perfect balanced unity, like yin and yang. • The pillow. It's not much, but it's like coming back to a cleaned hotel room and seeing a little chocolate on the pillow. You're gonna eat that chocolate, just like you're going to use this pillow. Which adjusts, by the way, and latches around the back using and elastic velcro band that holds just fantastically. • The width of this chair is perfect. I am a man and I was able to comfortably sit cross-legged while reclined without feeling like my knees were miles outside of the chair - if that isn't a metric for perfection, I don't know what is. • The width between the armrests is divine. As in, truly designed to perfection by a higher power. • The reclining function is intuitive. The chair is finely balanced, probably using the same technologies used in spaceships and in first class on the best airlines. It's easy to recline/un-recline and stay to any degree within the range - yes, it's not just "completely sitting" or "completely reclined" - simply by pushing or pulling one's feet ever so slightly on the footbar. • The reclining function is smooth as butter. No noise, other than that of the gentle breeze and whistling birds serenading you whenever you're going to space in the Zero Gravity chair. • This is on Amazon Prime. You could be going to space in this chair by the weekend if you act quickly. There are some rights bestowed upon all man and woman - laws not ordained by politics but rather inherited from the earth. These include freedom, safety, health, and this chair. This chair should be a universal human right. May the designers of this brilliant device forever be blessed and rewarded for their contribution to mankind.

and have been very happy with them
We ordered these earlier this year to take with us to the local drive-in theater, and have been very happy with them. The chairs are extremely comfortable, and open and close easily. My husband (6'3", 250#) finds the chairs to be roomy enough and sturdy enough for him, and he really appreciates the locking mechanisms that hold the chair at your preferred angle. He doesn't like fully reclining, so it's nice to be able to set the chair to a certain angle and count on it staying in that position. We've used the chairs a dozen times, and they seem to be holding up really well, and they look nice enough that we are often approached by people asking where we got them. The local grocery store and do-it-yourself-stores all offer similar chairs, but these look just a bit nicer, and seem to perform just a bit better. Note - we've been using them with the Prime Products 13-9003 Utility Tray (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0083G3AXC/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_20). It's affordable and works very nicely. I like the option of having a separate tray, instead of an integrated tray like those offered by other companies, because it's easier to pack & store. Also, when we're in tight quarters, it's nice to be able to put the chairs right up against one another.

I won't buy from Caravan Sports again.
This chair is alright. The head pillow is a joke--does not fit & cannot be adjusted to fit correctly. I tried to read a lot of reviews & pick a good product but I would not buy this brand again. It also does not sit squarely on all edges until you sit down on it.

Buen producto

Excellent chairs. So comfortable and seem to be well ...
Excellent chairs. So comfortable and seem to be well made and sturdy. The only thing is, the locking mechanism is very hard to lock and unlock; hopefully it eases up with use. I would recommend this chair, it's great!

I even liked the color
I replaced an older zero gravity chair with this and I was impressed by the locking feature plus the additional width of this chair. I even liked the color!
