Zadro Dimmable Sunlight Vanity Mirror, Satin Nickel, 10X-1X

Great while it worked.Product purchased October 31, 2015. Eight months later the switch broke. The manufacturer's warranty is 90 days. I loved it while it was working, but have no plans to spend another $92 on an appliance that lasts 8 months.Update: I contacted the manufacturer, who agreed to replace the switch. Turn around time to get the RMA was 4 days and I am responsible for shipping the unit back to the company. Zadro will pay to ship it back. Turnaround time on the repair is said to be about 3 weeks, so I assume that it will be gone 5 weeks, 2 for shipping and 3 to be repaired.Packaging and shipping cost $47, but was worth it since it requires about double that to replace the mirror.I've increased my rating from 2 stars to 4. The fact is that I love the mirror and it is superior to any other brands I've used. The magnification is strong and the light is dimmable and can be adjusted to be quite bright. The cheap replacement mirror from Costco that's substituting through the repairs isn't remotely near the quality of the Zadro. My rating would be an enthusiastic 5 stars, if not for the defective switch and the cost and lengthy turnaround time to get it repaired.

I purchased this Zadro SLV410 make-up mirror in April 2008. A few weeks ago the bulb burned out. I think I transferred some static electricity to the mirror that caused the bulb to burn out (dry winter weather). I purchased two replacement bulbs from LK Technology but neither of them work. I have now ordered a replacement bulb directly from Zadro to see if the two new bulbs I received from LK were defective (the bulbs were well packaged but may have froze on the delivery truck). If the Zadro replacement bulb does not work, I will have to see how much it will cost for Zadro to repair this mirror. Since I paid $138 with shipping, it is too expensive to just throw out. I recommend getting an extended warranty if you can on this unit.The mirror's magnification, quality of the mirror and lighting are excellent. I love the surround light. Other than the bulb problem this mirror has been a tremendous help for my poor eyesight, especially when it comes to tweezing the eyebrow area.If you purchase this, be careful of static electricity discharge and/or get an extended warranty if possible.

Bought this two years ago and the switch just went out. I emailed customer service for the part. They responded within a few hours to let me know that they would repair the mirror at no charge. I'm waiting for my return authorization...so we will see. For the price of this mirror, it should last at least 5 years. I ordered and received a different brand mirror with the same magnification. I could not believe the difference. The Zadro had a much better magnification...even without using the lights. The other mirror is going back immediately! I hope the repair works out as this is, by far, one of the best mirrors I've owned...while it works.2.20.15 update: Wanted to let you know that I received a return authorization to ship my mirror back to Zadro for repair...even though it is outside of warranty. I paid for the return shipping. The repair will be at no charge. I will update once I receive the mirror back...hopefully in good working order.

I had this on my list for a while, due to the high price and the negative reviews re: inconsistent quality...but when I saw that the price had dropped to US$80 w/ Amazon Prime (love the notifications I get when prices fluctuate, just keep the item in your 'save for later' in shopping cart), I grabbed one in a hurry. I've had it for 3 weeks now, and honestly love it. There WAS a bit of a learning curve, as the lighting is slightly blue - had a few minor snafus in the beginning with color/intensity control of makeup, and of lighting (i.e. should dim light a bit to see how makeup looks for nighttime or low light situations). After that learning curve, I can tell I am seeing things truer, because there is much less discrepancy in how I look between dressing table vs. car mirror (a.k.a. The Mirror of Truth). All points (bolts/screws/bending parts) seem solid, I have not had to tighten or loosen things at all - hoping light bulb lasts a long time. Highly recommend, especially if pricing goes down.Pros:Nice and tall (no squishing down with shoulders to see whole face), with infinitely adjustable angling (I even angle it way down for nail art detailing or the occasional kid splinter emergency)Magnification is great for grooming or super detailed makeupInfinitely adjustable lightingHeavy, sturdy, solid feel (no falling over), high quality mirror on both sidesBrushed chrome is easier to keep looking clean, no fingerprintsCons:Light is pretty blue; I was hoping to minimize my area with this mirror, but I ended up keeping my previous mirror, which has warmer LED lighting; I go back and forth to see gauge color and intensityCord is super thick and bulky; nice that it's durable, but I tend to tuck the mirror out of the way when not in use, and it's a bit awkward...of course cordless would be fabulous***Update October 2016***So I've had this for 6 months...still loving this mirror, light is going strong, no complaints. I love this mirror! Super bright, dimmable, chrome - which is easy to clean, and tall! Sits beautifully on my desk, and has a plug at the back to use other electronic devices.One pet peeve though!? The "1X/10X magnification" sticker is ON the bloody mirror! Seriously....why do manufacturers do that!?!?

Sturdy and lighting is adjustable, which I appreciate.

This is an amazing mirror for someone who wants either really bright or less brighter light for doing makeup. It can even act as a ring light as it can be increased to really bright light. I was really not wanting to purchase such an expensive mirror but the reviews of this mirror on youtube has been very impressive. I compared about 4 of the mirrors which consisted of Flyme vanity mirror, Zadro 9 inch, conair bronze brushed, and zadro 9.5 dimmable vanity mirror and from amongst all, the priciest (zadro dimmable mirror $179.00 without taxes) won the deal. the rest I returned.

Would buy this mirror again. Well worth the price.

Best makeup mirroir ever,I purshase so many different kind of mirroir this one is by far the best one,the lighting is perfect and adjustable ,the quality amazing,there a built in plug for you're curling or fat iron,you can turn the mirroir and bent it,they really tough of everything !if a could give it 10 stars I would ! 🌟
