The fire starter works decent, whistle is okay and the compass is a little off and it is a little difficult to buckle but once you figure it out it’s not bad. I wouldn’t fully depend on the compass but I mean for how cheap it is you really shouldn’t expect it to be that accurate. It will get you in the right direction somewhat lol. Just like the idea of having a fire starter and a way to signal someone while wearing it on my wrist. I used survival cord for the bracelet and would recommend doing the same.

This is the ultimate survival tool in a super small pack. It's a bic lighter but with way more features. It's be a bit tricky to use the fire starter at first. But after you got the position right and trim off the protective layer, you'll always get a spark. High recommended for camping and bushcrafting.

Love the functionality and components of this buckle! I’m making survival bracelets for Scouts and these will come in handy at camp.

Overall, the product is pretty neat. But I have noticed what everyone was saying about The compass being “off”, but I think it’s off because of the metal scraper that sits below the compass. when you take-out the metal scraper, the compass then decides to point North “for real”. I’m not sure what type of metal that scraper is or how it got magnetized but that’s the problem I found. Also, once you have the scraper out and you move it around the compass, you can see the compass move with it. All in all, I’m a newbie so this is fine for now, but it’s something to consider if you plan to really rely on it.

It's a loud whistle and a stout buckle, and it'll make sparks (be careful about this part around kids). It'll hold a paracord length together, or you could use it to close a pouch or pocket. Handy size and the compasses I got all seemed functional on delivery -- they're not *lifesaver* compasses, but they'll point at north outdoors.

So this is literally the only time I was surprised in a great way I didn't read everything on a amazon page... I thought these only had a compass on them but had a nice surprise with the whistle and ferro rod. Already tried ferro rod, works well. Could not be happier and 2000 percent recommend for the price.

I have one of these one size smaller but the compass was lost. So bought a of these slightly larger in size. Does what it needs to do I have lit fires with them. The compass is more for the novelty. Pretty pricey but it is smaller than most with Pharaoh rods built in
