P.R. Pulp Riot Semi-Permanent Hair Color 4oz- Sorcery, 4 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)

I bought Sorcery along with a couple other colors (Fireball and Lemon), intending to mix shades and do rainbow hair, but it can be hard to get a good feel for color nuances online. Once I got started I realized this is way more of an indigo than a straight blue, and my attempt to make green was a disaster. It's not a flaw, but I wanted to put the information out there for anyone else who really likes to play around with color theory and reads 1000 reviews before picking colors. It does make a beautiful purple when mixed with Fireball. Sorcery did fade noticeably faster than the other colors, but that's true of most blues and purples. I also don't go to much special effort to preserve my color - I wash 3-4 times/week with a color safe shampoo and otherwise just abuse it. I'm usually a Punky Colour girl and all 3 Pulp Riot shades lack the shimmer and depth I'm used to, but the colors are really nice and bold and the squeezy tube is great when you're not looking to just dip a brush in a jar. They faded nicely to pastel tones rather than going weird like some other brands, both as packaged and mixed to make other shades. I don't think I'll buy Sorcery again, but I will buy Pulp Riot if they have a color that catches my eye. I'm including some fresh and faded photos for reference. I did mix Lemon with Arctic Fox aquamarine that I already had to make the green when Sorcery didn't work out, but everything else pictured is Pulp Riot. The second stripe from the left (between purple and green) is Sorcery without anything else mixed in. The first photo where it's actually styled is within a day of coloring, the middle mid-blow dry picture is 3 weeks later and shows the different colors well, and the third is after 5 1/2 weeks (but I think I washed with clarifying shampoo a couple times towards the end and that really sped up the fading).

Used sorcery, elixir, and slither in my hair. They came out amazing! I was about a level 8 with some blue and purple still in my hair. All three colors took amazingly and I got to realize my gothic mermaid dreams!

Beautiful color, very nice smell and easy to apply.

I use this with pink to make a bluish purple and it comes out really cute. The color lasts so much longer than other brands I’ve used even after washing and using heating tools. Definitely recommend Pulp Riot.

Nice deep blue, really love this color. Only the lower section of my hair is bleached and I only dyed the ends. The dye comes out deep purple and smells amazing! I cold water wash to extend the color. This took almost the full tube, you might want 2 tubes if you're dying more hair.

The color was unique but it faded much faster than other brands I have used in the past like Special Effects or Manic Panic. Not worth the extra cost.

Very blue based purple. My first time using this brand , it does stain skin a lot but there was no staining the shower when rinsing it! (Which is shocking, last time I used a similar color from another brand it was staining everything I touched for weeks.) I did a split dye and was very careful to rinse separately , but both colors were this brand and they didn’t run together at all. Smells mild and nice, decent consistency although a little on the runny side. Hair didn’t feel overly dry or overly conditioned after rinsing. One warning, if you have thick/long hair buy multiple tubes. I used a whole tube on less than half my head of shoulder length hair. It just barely covered. Overall very pleased and will buy the brand again.

Won't stay purple, but will stay forever if that's what you want! Won't turn green.

I use this to Colour bomb my hair with conditioner. Keeps my colour from fading.

Works really well and smell amazing! I had old blond streaks and it picked up amazing.

This is my absolute favourite brand. And I've tried ALOT of brands The thick formula makes it easy to apply and saturate the product. The colour stay is unbeatable . And as it fades its just as lovely as initial application. This shade however (sorcerer) is much MUCH darker then I'd expected or wanted. My hair is nearly black again, after much work to lighten it. I'll attach a before and after.

Did not color my hair. Only gave a tint. Texture of product is pleasant as well as smell. Did not stain skin nor shower...nor hair. I had high hopes with this brand.
