I check their suitability regularly.A serious problem has arisen concerning the safety of canned seafood. The level of toxic metals, microplastics up to 5mm in size, and other pollutants found in sardines harvested in these regions far exceed safe levels and their flavor has been affected. The first significant evidence was published in 2017. Many canners fish these waters. It is advisable to check a map before purchasing. Children and childbearing women are especially susceptible to harm.The safest sardines to eat are harvested from open oceans such as the Atlantic, Pacific, and connected open seas.Morocco is home to expert canners and the worlds finest oils. In most cases, they process the catch immediately; precluding the need for cold storage. Their government protections are the highest in the world. They harvest pilchards - a larger and firmer species than others. The smoked Bristling I loved and grew up on are no longer trusted. This is what my research has revealed.These sardines are now my choice. Repeated purchases of the 12 pack from this seller (over 6 purchases to date) have all exceeded my high standards. The shipment arrives shrink wrapped and tightly fitted in heavy cardboard. Each tin is presented in a sealed box. I have never received a dented can.Though different from what you may be used to, the quality is superior! Cans are fully packed and the fish are large enough to grill briefly to add smoke. The flavor can be further enhanced when creating a dip with cream cheese or butter. I also enjoy their lower sodium content.

I got these when I started cooking for my dog. I needed to not share the spicy mustard with him, lol. These are really good and relatively economical. The only issue is they're hard to open. But! You can use a butter knife to help. I discovered that when a ring came off. If it's hard, use the butter knife to aid before you lose the ring! The sardines are perfect :)

Excellent product! Nice large sardines, very flavorful and not a product of China or Poland. Do try them.

I was very impressed with the quality of these really close to the quality I find with NURI, and if you are heating these up on the oven the sunflower seed oil really pops up

Season Value Sardines are delicious at a great price. I will enjoy every can.

These are the larger sardines, three to a tin, so it is best to microwave them with pepper and lemon juice.Tasty, at a good price. I'm so glad to see the the labeling, which said it was packaged using nontoxic materials. No more Crown Prince for me; it's easy to switch to Season Brand.
