This is a really cool tool. I would suggest making sure the joints are fully fastened before doing any smacks with the axe or prying with the shovel. You can mess the joints up if they aren't fully sealed it feels like or swing to hard. But the metal is great and the tool is awesome. I'd maybe suggest oiling the threads slightly as they tend to squeek when fastening or loosing.

My friends and I went on a survival trip and I brought this. It’s heavy But it’s realy fkn useful. Everyone was constantly asking to use it. My only advice would get some plumber joint tape for the screw together handle cause it has the tenancy to unscrew with a lot of force when using the axe head. But throw some of that plumber tape in the threads there and you’re all set locks right up. Very sturdy. And very useful I would recommend for anyone’s pack that is willing to carry the extra weight

First off i must say the quality is exceptional, probably a life long investment. This is more sturdy than a fifties refrigerator. ***Parents—-do not buy this for anyone under 21*** Zombie apocalypse ready. This is NOT for camping! It’s a multifaceted weapon. Keep it in the car and the police will laugh when you say you have no weapons! This inconspicuous black case contains all that dexter needs including a shovel but no duct tape. OMG! Gladiator axe in a purse. Take off a section and you have a gigantic knife or spear. Although if a prepper this is perfect for the end of the world OR IF THEY LET YOU TAKE THIS ON NAKED AND AFRAID you would rock!!
