This book helped me tremendously.Passed CPT exam a week ago with first attempt.I was able to absorb most of the textbook within 4months but to be able to recall complex terms and concepts with intense recall from 500page book... Ugh it would have been difficult without the help of the yellow book:)I thought, going thru 520 flashcards along with my own notes was potentially enough until I got the book shipped 2 weeks prior to scheduled exam and the secrets of nasm books helped me sort thru the entire material one more time.It simply brought laser focus attention to just about everything that I have encountered on my exam and I found it truly priceless.Final review before your exam! totally worth it!!

I am very pleased with my purchase, it was exactly what I was hoping for. Preparing for the NASM CPT exam has been very daunting and this study guide was a huge relief. Not only does it give extremely helpful studying and test taking advice, the content and text formatting is very user friendly, instead of a huge chapter book it breaks down each important category into simple digestible paragraphs. It's the perfect "cliff notes" of personal training!!

I do wish there were pictures to help with the anatomy.I've had a chance to dig a little deeper and am enjoying how easily it is to digest the material. The NASM book is overwhelming if you do not have an anatomy back ground. I plan on reading through your book several times to develop a foundation and then move on to the NASM book. I work as a Casino "Croupier" in Puerto Rico and I'm currently looking for a change of labor scenery. Casino's have uncommon shift hours, so this study guide helps me feel more confident when managing my personal time to study and less intimidated about learning new information. The study guide seems very complete and user friendly. In conclusion, I feel more optimistic when thinking about the Personal Training Exam.

I contacted the publisher, Mometrix, regarding sections of the study guide that contain completely inaccurate information. I received the below response regarding my concern:"From our editors:Thanks for reaching out to us, and I'm very sorry for any confusion and frustration we've caused you with this.The exercise continuum model is not a model NASM uses and as such we shouldn't have put any questions about it in our guide. I'm sorry you encountered these questions, but please know that you'll not be tested on them on the actual exam."My bigger concern is this: What else is incomplete, inaccurate, or completely unrelated in this study guide? And could this misdirection cause someone to fail their CPT exam?

Product Rating: 5 out of 5I am on my second attempt reading the study guide and it is very helpful and it is helping me retain information that is needed for me to pass the cpt test. What I love about the study guide is that the terms and specific chapters are easy to access as well.

So far it is a great book- concise and to the point. I've just started studying for my exam and I am only a third of the way through and love it so far. The organization, lay out, and information is going to be vital for passing the CPT exam!
