2-Year Review; My Perfect Bag!
15.6 inch-grey modelI'm thinking of this more as a long-term review of this bag's durability, so I won't say much about how comfortable it is to wear (it is comfortable to me), whether the pockets fit my needs and stuff (they fit my stuff very well), or how it looks (it looked just like the pictures when I got it, and with time the color has barely faded).I got this in October 2019 for my first year of college to replace my replacement of my Thinkgeek Bag of Holding. Both of these previous bags' lining in the main pockets tore to shreds at the seams, and I had to hold the lining in place with an increasing amount of safety pins because I don't know how to sew. It was time for a new bag, so I did a lot of comparative browsing on Amazon and decided on this one.It is now late August 2021, almost 2 full years with this bag, and it is still in great shape. The lining shows no signs of giving up. The canvas has worn in, but in a good way, like a baseball glove; it isn’t as stiff as when it was when it was new, so it’s easier to fit unusually-shaped things in it. The zippers still zip all the way and haven’t needed repair. The straps and handles, which have also been troubling on old bags of mine, are reliable and thick. There is one thing to consider about the shoulder strap if you are tall, though: I am 5'10" tall and wear the strap on my left shoulder with the bag on my left side, so the strap doesn't cross over my body (like person 1 in the last picture on the Amazon listing). The strap is just long enough when fully expanded to be in the perfect place at my waist, but I think if I was any taller it would be too short. The shoulder strap is not removable, so if you are significatly taller you may need to look for a different bag.I live in Illinois, and it rains a lot during spring here, so I’ve had the bag outside during the rain a few times. No water soaked through the waxed canvas and lining, but I would still be careful not to have it in the rain too long. The canvas does get wet and retains some water, so if it was wet enough it might soak through. My dogs have peed on it a number of times and none of it has soaked through to the inside. I don’t remember if the bag came with washing instructions, and if it did I must’ve thrown them away, because I can’t find them now. I looked up how to clean waxed canvas, and the first few articles all say that you should not machine wash or dry, dry clean, use detergent, or iron it. Instead, you should hand wash it with cold water, not hot water, use mild soap if needed, and let it air dry. I’ve done this and it works well. So, yeah, I still like this bag. It’s lasted longer than either of my previous bags has, and I think it will last a lot longer still. I’m gonna keep using it and, if anything happens to the bag that changes my opinion of it, I’ll hopefully remember to update this review. Until then, it gets a confident 5 stars from me!

A Messenger Bag great for the entire family
WHAT I LOOK FOR: I look for a good quality messenger bag at an affordable price. Price is a huge factor for me as I have three children. Quality is extremely important to me. I do not want to have to purchase new messenger bags in a couple of months because the bags couldn't withstand the school day and various activities of my super busy children.Comfort is another important element when purchasing messenger bags . My son literally packs all of his school books, notebooks, folders and binders in his bag in the morning and carries everything around all day long because his classes are in one wing of his high school and his locker is completely on the other side of the high school. We settled on the VASCHY Messenger Bag because it would fit a laptop, school books and a camera if needed. The Gray Messenger bag is actually the perfect size and color for my high school students, my middle school student and myself! I carried the Messenger Bag to work on Monday and I loaded it up with my laptop, my iPad, my camera AND an extra lens and some notebooks that I needed. I was even able to toss in a large bottle water and a bottle of cold coffee with room to spare. I really like the padded shoulder strap and the clips. The fact that it is waterproof is awesome. My kids wait in lines a lot waiting for the bus and it pretty much is always raining during the fall and spring. The bag has an amazing padded compartment for the laptop and keeps heavy books from digging into your body. Very happy with the VASCHY Messenger Bag.

Great travel bag
This bag is built really well and has a good amount of storage room all over. The pockets on the front are nice and deep and the zipper closer is nice and smooth. The flap zipper is smooth as well and runs the length of the flap. The buckle closers that hold the flap down are built well and hold secure while carrying the bag. The zip pocket under the flap is nice and big as well it holds a good amount of things as well as the pen holders in side hold pens good, the key holder is a little tight to get to inside but is manageable. The main compartment is large enough for your laptop, portfolio, file binder and Bluetooth speaker with some room to spare. The inside zip pocket is big enough for a wallet and passport or any other little item you need quickly. The back side has a zipper pocket that runs the length of the bag as well. This is big enough for a 12” IPad with a keyboard case attached. Overall the caring strap is nice and if used your bag will lean slightly forward but nothing falls out. The shoulder strap is well built as well and the padded piece is nice for comfort. This review is on a 14” bag and for what i need it to do it has meet my standards and is a good buy. I would buy this again in the future when this one has worn its self out. Last thing it is a light weight bag empty but loaded with things it seems to level the weight out so it sits level when carried.

Good bag with a few minor design flaws
I've had this bag for over a year now, and I like that it looks professional with the dark fabric and leather accents. It has a lot of different pockets for keeping things organized, and the laptop sleeve is padded, which is nice. It has ample room in the inside to hold a laptop and several books/binders/devices at the same time, in addition to everything that fits in the pockets. However, there are a few minor flaws that continue to annoy me. The metal link attaching the shoulder strap to the leather bag loop is designed so that it always turns sideways, which causes stress on the leather and will lead to it breaking in a few more years. If they had designed it to not turn sideways, this could have been avoided (though for some reason, this flaw is common in shoulder bags). Also, there is no pocket on this thing that can hold a modern water bottle. The side pockets are too small, and even the main pocket is too narrow to bulge out and hold it well.Still, it's a good bag, and if my current one dies then I'll probably look into getting a new one
