ZenPet ZenDog Anxiety Dog Vest Calming Compression Shirt (X-Small)

I have a 5 year old American Staffordshire Terrier that suffers from separation anxiety and is also afraid of lightning (so much for being known as a fearless breed lol); when we're away or there's a storm (we get those often), he becomes anxious and starts to lick/nibble at his paws to the point that he irritates his skin. We've tried a number of things (toys, beds, blankets, covered kennel, treats, etc.) that have turned out to be futile. We decided to take him to the vet and they recommended the "thunder shirt" but they didn't have his size (XL, he's 79 lbs), so we found the Zendog Calming Compression Shirt. When we received it, we put it on him immediately and he fell asleep within 15 min of having put it on. FYI, I'm not being paid, nor offered a freebie for this review, I'm simply delighted that we could find Tyler a solution to his anxiety. Now every time we go somewhere, we have peace in knowing that he's not stressed/worried out of his mind. It may seem like a simple piece of cloth with hook and look strips on it, but this shirt has made all the difference for our four legged friend.

This is the greatest product we have ever bought for our dog. We have four large dogs only one of them, Frank, is afraid of storms. He is a rescue dog. He spent 2 years in rescue shelters and came to us with a lot of strange habits. He has overcome many of them but gets so upset when we have storms. This product is great last night we had a major thunder storm. We put the vest on Frank when we heard the start of the storm. Frank usually cries, gets on the sofa, scratches us and is so tense. btw - Frank weight 100 pounds. With the vest on, Frank slept through the storm. A few times the thunder was so loud two of the other dogs looked around (they never move during storms). Frank was so comfortable and happy. This is a GREAT product and it really works.We are thinking about getting some of these for the local shelter to help the poor babies that are afraid and alone during storms.

Excellent product. A little more challenging to put on my 105 lb Golden Retriever due to the pull-on design, but after a couple of times, he knows what to do. Works really well to help his storm anxiety. Thank you!

Our Mastiff, Max, has suffered so long with fear and anxiety. Generally his anxiety was amplified during thunderstorms and sometimes even rain. His vest arrived just in time for a thunderstorm. We put it on him and he seemed way less anxious and he seems quite comfortable. I would recommend this product to anyone whose animal needs anxiety relief. We purchased the XXL for Max. He is a bigger dog, broad chest and weighs around 120 lbs.

The size chart does not match was way to small make suer to try a size or two higher than chart says

It's difficult to get on but once on it seems to calm. Brock is definitely calmer with it on during thunder, fireworks come more frequently so not as good but still better with than without.

Size was way to small and I had to return

Really had my doubts upon receipt, but it has proved it’s worth both times our dog has worn it, once during a fireworks show & once during a bad storm.

This has been amazing and we are only on day 3 of wearing. My dog has extreme anxiety and it has become much worse as we are packing up to move home. Hes been barking non stop at everything and pulling his tail fur out with his teeth. I bought this along with the zen dog calming spray. He is now chilled and only barking at normal things like a knock on the door, he has stopped shivering and shaking and hasn't touched his tail fur. Well worth buying. The photo is him wearing the vest which is size medium.

Very good quality product but the sizing guide is rather misleading ! I bought the large size for my lab cross but it only needs a slight adjustment to fit my Westie !!

Not true to size. my dog hates it

This product was very well sized and quickly delivered. I was surprised at the little scent bottle that came with it but this worked a treat.
