Solabiol Arbrex Seal & Heal, Yellow, 300g

Purchased this as I have a flaming flamingo tree where part of the stalk of the tree had become damaged and was being attacked by ants. Put a coating of this on quite thickly over the damaged part and more lightly over the remainder. Dried fully in a couple of days and no more ants on the attack.

Saved me a trip to shop. Ordered with multiple gardening products.

Always used Arbrex to seal big cuts - does what it says with no drama.

This works. I have a very sorry looking pyracantha which was storm damaged and had its main bough split down the middle. Pruning was not an option. I set to with wide zip ties, a clean toothbrush to clean the wounded plant, and then started slathering this all over the split. Too much is just enough. 20 minutes later the bush was repaired with lots of visible zip ties and this gunge oozing from the split. Fast forward 4 weeks and the damaged plant is green with new growth and looking very healthy again, just with a garnish of zip ties keeping it stable. And no little creatures have gone near the sticky stuff at all. Great value, easy to use, appears insect proof, and the shrub is very happy too. Recommended. NB// use disposable gloves. This stuff is STICKY and will likely stain anything it contacts, including patios, skin, hair, clothes, carpets, spectacles, furniture, cats, small humans. Etc.

I applied the sealer using a small disposable brush after pouring some into a plastic yogurt pot as suggested and it was an easy quick job to fill a bark wound and a small fissure on a small tree. The sealer stayed liquid for several days in the pot so I was able to layer it on over a couple of days. Settled into the small fissure with no problem.
