Good value helmet
This is my second Vcan helmet. My first was a half helmet, which I really like, but found that for longer rides at higher speeds my eyes were tearing up badly and the wind noise was pretty bad. I bought this helmet for those longer trips, or when I expect to be going highway speeds. The visor so far seems to lock into it's detents very firmly. When it's closed fully it doesn't seem to leak much and it seems pretty clear as well. The vents work surprisingly well and you can feel a constant airflow inside the helmet once you're moving which is about the perfect amount to keep you cool and to keep the visor from fogging. The cheek padding feels pretty tight to me but otherwise the fit is good. I'm hoping that the more I wear it the more it will confirm to my face. My only other group is that the matte black finish shows every single fingerprint, but I suppose it's my fault for picking that color.Other pluses, there's a small mesh net that sits under your chin and feels like it adds a little more security without extra tightness. The chin strap on this helmet is identical to the one on my other Vcan helmet. It's a nice design with a quick release mechanism that is easy to operate by feel, even when wearing gloves. At speed the noise level is much reduced and the helmet has good aerodynamics if you're head is having straight forward. Turn your head slightly and you will immediately feel more wind and an increase in noise. I like that I'm hearing less wind and more engine with this helmet. It makes those longer and faster rides a lot more pleasant and I feel safer to boot.

Love it
This helmet is great, it works great, it's comfortable, it looks good, and the tinted visor makes it even betterGot it as my first motorcycle helmet cause it has a tinted visor and is half the price of the cheapest helmet in a store. I crashed my bike and this thing held up great, saved my face from being a pavement smear and was even still good to go again afterwards.I now also own the cheapest helmet I could get from an in person store, both have the same safety rating and here's a feature comparisonThis helmet: $70, clean angular design with no logos, well made vents, tinted and clear visor, visor notches allow it to be set with a small gap that lets through just enough air to avoid fogging on cold days but not enough air for you to feel it, strip of fabric at the chin of the helmet prevents most air from pushing up from under the helmet and into your face, rubber nose piece helps to prevent fogging and also makes it look better with the visor up or clear visor on, soft foam at the bottom section of the helmet makes it super comfortable to put on and off, strap clicks in and releases nicelyOnly complaint would be the excess strap can whip you in the neck, easily solvable if you just add anything to hold the excess still, could be a rubber band, could sew in a button, whatever you wanna doCheapest helmet in a store: $118, smooth design with logos, poorly assembled vents, only clear visor, visor notches allow for either fogging or getting blasted in the face on cold days, does not have anything stopping wind from coming up the bottom which can prevent your ability to breath, visor hole is cut big which shows nearly entire face and really takes away from the looks, everything is styrofoam which does not feel good squeezing your head through every time, helmet strap is a 2 ring method which doesn't fully separate so you have to hope it's loose enough to get your face past, it also get's caught up and you might have to go find a mirror just to get a good enough view of the strap to get your helmet off

I didn't expect much at this price point. I was wrong.
This helmet arrived on time, packaged nicely. It included 2 shields, a tinted one installed, and an extra (clear) shield in the box. Also comes with a helmet bag. What is so surprising is the fit and comfort of the helmet, and the appearance. It is much nicer than I thought, both to look at, and to wear. The interior padding is covered with a more plush material than some helmets costing 3 times the price. The ventilation is good for cooling you down on a hot day. The tinted shield is wonderful on sunny days, and has no visual imperfections or wavy spots. The field of view is wide and open. I have not ridden in the rain with it yet, but it seems to have a good gasket around the shield, and likely won't leak. The chin strap has padding for comfort. The helmet shield opens with strong detents, which help it stay in the position you put it in. This should help if riding on the highway, and you need to crack the shield barely open, the wind doesn't push it shut on a naked bike at highway speeds. I installed a CARDO on the side with a slip-on clamp style mount without too much issue (a little tight around the rubber bottom gasket, but it works), and the thicker JBL Cardo speakers fit nicely in the provided speaker cut-outs, they stay tucked away in their recessed area behind the helmet cheek pads, without the need for a velcro attachment so far. Honestly, I have 3 helmets, the other 2 are more expensive than this one, and are less comfortable. Is it SNELL rated? No. How well would it protect in a crash? Not sure...it's DOT and ECE rated. The SHARP website does show crash test results for other VCAN helmets, but not this one specifically. So evidently this is a legitimate manufacturer, even if you haven't heard of them before. If you're on the fence, for the money you cannot go wrong. I was blown away.

Good price but too much wind noise
Is a good looking helmet DOT approved and Comes with two shields. Fits good and feels good, but the noise of the wind gets inside the helmet too much. As I was riding I first thought I was hearing sirens coming from behind me. Then I could hear a very fainted voice of like a female screaming “stop, stoooooop”, I thought it was my guardian Angel so I stopped and inspected my bike. There was no sirens or angels just the damn helmet leaking air in and making sounds.

Great Helmet for the price!
You can't beat this helmet for the price. My Bluetooth harness fit perfectly. It has a good tight fit. I suggest ordering a size bigger than what you measure. It was easy to install the headset and audio unit.

wind noise
I liked the fit and finish. The wind noise is very painful. I switched to to the tinted visor to see if it mad a difference. and its the same as when it came out of the box. normally I like vcan I have had them before. but if you don't want your ear drums pounded on I wouldn't buy this again.
