The screw hole in the riser for the shelf was threaded extremely badly; in fact, it doesn't seem to have been threaded all the way. This makes it impossible to screw in the clamp which is supposed to attach the shelf to the desk. I returned the item for a replacement, and the replacement has exactly the same defect. I won't be trying this again, as it has been a waste of time. I'd strongly advise against this product. The manufacturer does not prioritize QA.
