Lovely little powerful laptop in a compact, light design
I needed a new laptop as the last one was problematic from the off and I wanted to be rid of it. What I was looking for in a laptop was simple but powerful specs, in that I mean nothing like dual graphics (which was a huge flop and issue in my last laptop). The specs of this laptop are amazing for the cost. Looking for the same i7 processor, with 16gb RAM, 1TB SSD and 32GB optane all over the web anything else the same was a good £400+ more expensive. So the first great point is the price. Some people mention that the screen being a standard 1080p IPS is maybe one of the few bad points of this thing. I think to say bad point is strong and not entirely accurate. There's got to be a trade off somewhere in having such high end core specs for a low cost. I personally think that the screen quality is fantastic anyway. It's bright, crisp and clear. I don't think you would really see much difference between a 1080p and 2160p resolution on a 14 inch screen. So this for me, is the perfect item to trade off and get better specs elsewhere. The laptop whizzes with everything I have thrown at it so far, setting everything up, using office, Photoshop + lightroom etc... This is all on balanced mode too so not full performance. The fan noise has been really good so far for me too whilst using balanced mode, sat last night browsing the internet with around 10 different tabs open, the laptop was whisper quiet, never heard it once.In terms of cosmetics, the laptop looks and feels good. Some people mention that it feels a little plasticky, that doesn't bother me. It keeps it fresh and light and soft to the touch, I went for the premium feel on my last laptop with a full aluminium outer and it just ended up being heavy and cooking itself and being really hot to the touch. Never again. The materials of this laptop are fine to me. It's really compact and light which is great. This is the first laptop from ASUS I have had, so time will tell on durability and lasting performance etc, but in terms of spec and performance out of the box I'm extremely impressed with this unit. Great highly specced laptop for a great price.

Brilliant Laptop
I'm very happy with this, hence the headline. After having had two old laptops die on me I decided to replace them with a different brand to this, but was disappointed to find that the processor wasn't the speed advertised so sent it back. Ended up, after several days scouring the specs, ordering this one and I'm very glad I did. Its fast and reliable with enough little extras to keep a geek like me happy. It looks great, is extremely light but feels solid and well built. The only gripe I've had is that the backlit keys are hard to see if there's too much light (yes, I'm aware there's no need to have them on if there's too much light but I was really struggling to think of a negative - bite me). Ooh, and the delete key being right next to the power key has caught me out once or twice. And that's about it. It's great.

Amazing performance
If your a university student, please buy this laptop, its 14" and quite light and portable, as the name suggests, vivo book, you can carry in bag. It has a ryzen 7 4700u, which is so powerful, as you can see above it pulled 300+ fps on minecraft's max graphic settings. Amd has the best igpus. It has 512gb ssd and its so fast you can get a lot of work done. I love this! It came the next day as well!

Great laptop for general use
Got this to replace an old Dell laptop and love it. Easy setup and very little bloatware added. Number pad on the scratch pad is a good idea. Only grumble is that back lit keyboard on the sliver makes it hard to read the characters, fine for experience users who know where the keys are but imagine it would slow down novice users.

No number pad
Like my purchase so far though the Asus registration was quite frustrating. Only 4 stars because my laptop does not have the number keypad facility that they mention twice in the details on Amazon. I don’t know if this means mine is an older model but if that feature is something you were banking on - be aware.
