The phone holder itself is very well made of heavy materials and the finish is excellent. It holds my IPhone 11 Pro Max with a thick Defender case with no problems and the clamp locks in place to securely hold the phone. Phone can be rotated vertically or horizontal and locks in that position. The quick connect attachment is super easy to attach and detach and has a locking switch to prevent accidentally separating it.I needed the ability to tilt the holder up and down which the holder In itself will not do but I purchased another Ulanzi product U-100 quick release ball head that makes this phone holder a perfect setup for meOnly downside is the price it is expensive compared to others I looked at but if your like me and you require a quality well built long lasting product the price is reasonable.

Excellent piece of equipment. Holds my phone securely and has slots to attach mics or other kit. Solid and cushioned in the right places. Very high quality part. Highly recommended for attaching your phone to a tripod or just holding with an attached mic.

I have exclusively Ulanzi photo equipment like the MT-16 and TT31, so this was an obvious choice for me, as I needed something to hold my iPhone for filming/photography. The spring is very strong on this and holds my phone very firmly. I have no reservations or worries when it comes to my phone possibly being knocked out or inadvertently dislodged from the clamp holder. Also, it does include a couple cold shoes for mounting an external shotgun mic or ssd drive or any other peripherals you might need to mount close to your phone. I will be purchasing a Ulanzi quick connect claw adapter as well, so I can easily move my phone from tripod to tripod easily.In my limited experience so far with Ulanzi, I have been very happy with all of their products, and I intend to give them my business for all future needs, as long as they have what I'm looking for... I think the build quality of this little phone holder (it's kinda heavy!) is impressive. Also, like their other products, I think the price point is spot on for what you get. I think there is a lot of value, and I'm very happy I stumbled onto Ulanzi (with the help of many YouTube video reviews, etc.)... I'm sure you will be happy as well.

Well made and perfect for my iPhone 14 Pro in an Otterbox case. It is difficult to "stretch" the top clamp to place the phone but once in place, it's not going anywhere. Works at 90 and 180 degrees. Attached easily to my tripod quick release plate. A beautiful piece of engineering. My first experience with Ulanzi and I am impressed.

I like this adapter/mount well enough that I’ve recommended it to other people I know, but there are some things about it that I don’t like. I haven’t had it very long, so this is all basically early impressions, but early impressions from someone with a fair amount of photo experience.Build quality seems fine and it’s only a few small steps away from feeling premium. It feels pretty good in hand with a smooth finish and parts that fit together well.My two biggest complaints are the groove width in the jaws and the spring being too strong.I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max in what I consider a fairly average case. The case isn’t all that bulky, though it also isn’t the slimmest, and it’s pushing the limits of “fitting” in the grooves in the jaws. I’ve been thinking about switching to a thicker case for more protection, but a thicker case would be more problematic for fitting in this mount. But, the jaws do open plenty wide enough for my phone - there’s roughly 1/2” to spare.I can operate the jaws OK, but it’s awkward due to the spring strength. The spring is strong enough that it’ll hold the phone without having to tighten the locking knob, which is nice, but the downside is that makes the spring strong enough to offer an uncomfortable amount of resistance to open and hold open the jaws to fit the phone in. It’s not a deal-breaker for me, but I can imagine it being a deal-breaker for a lot of people.I would prefer, I think, a cam lever lock for the jaws rather than a knob. Especially with the stronger spring, a lever would be make dealing with it much easier.Rather than what seems to be teeth or pins that grab in recesses for the rotation lock, I think I would prefer just the detents and friction. I don’t like having to “hunt” for when the knob is loose enough to disengage the lock without being so loose it feels sloppy.Considering the other options I found, this mount seems to represent a good value, but I still think it’s overpriced at regular price. Buying it on sale, I didn’t feel like I got a bargain, but it’s more in line with what I think the price should be. Having used some of the cheaper ones, I wouldn’t want to buy one of those - they’re clunkier to operate, they break, etc. This one, while not perfect, seems like it’ll last and it mostly feels OK to use.

Simple and very nicely engineered. Surprisingly good quality, has arca-swiss mount and 3 threaded holes. The mount locks tightly on the phone and the swivel tightening knob is independent of the mount tightening. Perfect for holding your iphone on a tripod or monopod!
