Great replacement part
Got in a bind and had to get a starter for our Ford Explorer sport trac. Item came earlier than expected and was an exact fit which made the change really easy. If you have the right tools it can be quick change. Part works great and fixed all of our issues. Truck starts and runs great now.

Great Quality Replacement Starter
Starter went in relatively easy for me on an 04 Explorer with 4.0 motor. Took just over one hour from start to finish including jacking up/down vehicle. Car started right up. Very satisfied with this item and will update as needed if any problem.

Doesn't Last
Bought this starter a few months ago when my sons starter went out at college. Had it installed and now not even 3 months later my son cant go back after Thanksgiving break because his vehicle wont start. Called the support hotline and no answer. He needs to get back to school so taking in to the shop in the morning and am going to have to buy a different brand. Dont waste your money or you will be left on the side of the road

Half price and no core charge, how do they do it. I would like to return core to come to recycle. They should put instructions on how to do that.

Perfect fit on my 2001 Ranger
Perfect fit on my 2001 Ranger. Very hard to install, but that is due to the layout under my 4X4 Ranger - no fault of Lucas.

Fits 2008 Mountaineer 4.0l
Vehicle didn't even hesitate to crank, it started right up. For didn't make them easy to take them in and out though. No room to break the old bolts loose. I cranked so hard on mine the mounting bracket broke in half. I suggest using a swivel head ratchet for sure. I could only get enough clearance to break them loose coming in at a V to the top bolt. A stubby swivel head would have been helpful
