What is the difference with the 6034 & 6034D2

The D2 is a blade upgrade to D2 tool steel vs the standard version's less than awesome blade spec. Thus the increase in price. It's worth the extra cash IMO.

What kind of washers does this use?

They are nylon or Teflon. Some low-friction synthetic.

does it accidentally open while in pocket?

Has not for me. How ever when pulling from pocket the wave hook can be engaged and open the knife. This is a feature you have to practice using. If you want it to open fast on the way out you pull back. If not you pull forward more to keep it from engaging. Great knife for the money. I have two of these and one original Emerson.
