Buy this wok! After seasoning it lovingly (lots of videos online), I've used the wok nearly weekly for about a year. It's hefty and durable and has a gorgeous patina - and has become impervious to sticking. Easy to clean, too (some hot water and a scrub, then a wipe of hot oil to preserve it). The price is fantastic for a carbon steel beauty like this. Buy this wok! Oh, and buy a wok chuan, which will change your cooking life. And a wooden cover, so you can pop popcorn in this baby. Great, great stuff.

I really love my work and the hand hammered look of it. It is a very sturdy, solid and heavy wok in the market. After it was probably seasoning, my rice wouldn't even stick to it. I have been using it for more than 3 weeks and I just like to use it everyday.

This wok is well made, and it is 1.8mm thick as described. This is thicker than most similar woks. That gives it good heat retention which is nice to have on a domestic stove. However, that also makes it heavy -- mine weighs 4.6 lb. The weight, combined with the long handle, makes the wok difficult to lift with one hand. I wish the metal part of the handle was shorter so I could grip it closer to the bowl -- that makes a surprising amount of difference in the ease of lifting the thing. The helper handle is essential on a wok this heavy. The handle is unfinished wood and it is attached with a screw on the underside.

Solid and well made. Thick steel. Now all I need to do is learn how to cook Asian foods.

Heavy duty Wok. I have a Wok ring adaptor for my gas stove. This sits in it very nively. Cured it with Avocado oil following the instructions that came with it. Took a little bit of time but the results were very good. Cooked a big batch or stir fry veggies. So big the different veggies had to take turns. rusults were great!
