Acne Control Gel

Finding an effective acne treatment that targets breakouts without stripping or drying out mature skin can be a challenge. CeraVe's Acne Control Gel gets the balance just right by combining exfoliating salicylic (BHA) and glycolic (AHA) acids with skin-identical ceramides to keep the moisture barrier intact. Here is why this treatment is an essential addition to a hydration-focused routine: Fewer Breakouts: With regular use, I have noticed a visible reduction in breakouts. It helps keep pores clear and calms problem areas without causing redness or peeling. Dries Down Quickly & Non-Drying: Unlike harsh spot treatments that leave skin tight and flaky, this formula dries down fast and leaves my skin feeling balanced and comfortable. Fits Seamlessly Into a Layered Routine: I apply this right after my toner and hydrating mist. It absorbs cleanly into my skin without pilling or interfering with the rest of my products. Great Value & Yield: A little goes a very long way! A small, pea-sized amount easily covers the problem areas, so the 1.35 oz tube will last a considerable time. Bottom Line: If you want the pore-clearing benefits of chemical exfoliants without sacrificing your skin's hydration, this gel is a fantastic choice. It delivers noticeable clarity, absorbs quickly, and respects the skin barrier.

This works quickly and effectively for when I get small acne flare ups. A little bit goes a long way, so I feel like this tube will last me a long time. Doesn’t dry out my skin too much to where you can tell I used something on my acne.

It is really useful. I had an acne, and after using this for twice my acne was getting better! It feels lightweight, absorbs quickly.

I’ve been trying to find a replacement for the Clinique Step 3, All Over Cleaning Treatment lotion for a while now. I didn’t find the product drying at all, but I have oily-dry combination skin and also used the Acne and Line Correcting Serum from Clinique afterwards. I found that while this treatment did clear my acne scarring, it didn’t do much to get rid of pimples deep in my skin. I was actually surprised to see how quickly it sealed pimples on the surface for me, but it didn’t completely get rid of my acne. There’s actually a section of my face that has no acne scarring or pits anymore, and is a lot smoother! However, it left my skin more oily throughout the day because of my skin type not being compatible. If you have a fitting skin type and don’t have bacterial acne like I do, I’m sure it’ll work better for you! In fact, if it worked to get rid of my acne, this would’ve been perfect for me. Also, I’m not sure why it arrived like this— I’ve ordered this product twice. Once, I had to return because I found more of the cleaning treatment and had no need for this product. Then, I ordered it again to test if this product would work with my skin. Both times, the package came looking like it went through war.

Works amazingly! I got this because my skin was breaking out in small pimples and when I would put it on my pimples would go down by 3-5 days. Will be buying again!

If I could give CeraVe Acne Control Gel 10 stars, I would. I’ve dealt with acne ever since junior high and I am now in my 60’s. I’ve tried just about every product that exists and nothing has worked as well as CeraVe Acne Control Gel. I’m not making this up. I have even used products that contain salicylic acid and not even those completely cleared up my acne. I frequently wear makeup foundation for acting gigs and always have a huge breakout afterwards. This product quickly cleared that problem. Thank you, CeraVe, for creating something that actually works! What a huge relief to FINALLY find this product that does what it says it will do. I’ve only been using it for a week and this morning, when I woke up and looked into the bathroom mirror, I actually hollered, “Wow!”

I only need to use this two or three times a week. Applying it at night, and by the next morning my skin is noticeably smoother, and calmer looking. I don't have any acne, but it calms and removes redness, and makes my skin brighter (as in refreshed). I cannot say enough good things about this Salicylic & Glycolic Acid treatment. But I LOVE IT!!!

Unfortunately, I did not notice much of a difference while using this CeraVe Acne Control Gel. I love a lot of CeraVe’s other skincare products, so I was hoping this would work better for me, but I didn’t really see a decrease in blemishes or pimples after consistent use. It may just be my skin type, and I’m sure it works well for others, but for me it was not worth repurchasing. That being said, I do think the ingredients are great. It contains 2% salicylic acid along with glycolic acid and niacinamide, which are all solid ingredients for acne-prone skin. I also did not experience any irritation or reactions while using it, so I do think it is gentle enough for sensitive skin. Overall, not a bad product, it just personally did not give me the results I was hoping for.

I received it like almost 2weeks maybe and only now I write the review to see the result. I have acne at my chin and I put this every morning and night. It slows down the acne gently and it's almost healed. I love this product that I ordered the other Cerave recommend to combine with this foe my oily face! What a lifesaver

FAKE IT DESTROYED MY SKIN BARRIER AND LEFT IT IRRITATED AND RED DO NOT BUY

Efectiva fórmula y no irrita la piel

Mi favorito, mis manchas de la piel por acné disminuyeron considerablemente.

MY BIG TIP: Head over to CeraVe's official website and take their skin quiz. It takes a few minutes and it will give you a skin care routine based on your answers. Then order those recommended products and follow the routine! I've used other acne treatments and gels before but this one has been the best by far! I've been using this for 10 nights (PM only) now and I started noticing the results in about 7 days. I'm still getting breakouts but they're really tiny and typically go away in a day or 2 since I started using CeraVe's Acne line of products. Prior to using CeraVe, my breakouts would take about a week to clear and then I'm left with dark spots that take weeks more to heal. Super happy with this one!
