I purchased 3 applicators not realizing they are re-usable but don't come with product, so then I get the product and discover that all 3 applicators would not function (dial won't turn to seed setting at all once you turn hose on. Pressure builds up, one leaked out spout, one where the canister connects to spray head, one didn't leak and then the top popped off turning my arm green from elbow to wrist. This happened with all 3 applicators each with varying amounts of seed. Cool idea but cheap applicator is a complete failure.

Pros- It's Tall Fescue mix of grass so it grows pretty fast. For extreme small areas you might have enough to make a difference.Cons- The application is not that great. The water in sprayer model I find not as good as traditional seed spreaders. The cost of product is high for the amount of seed needed for real or larger areas. I would recommend buying a bag of seed then fertilize it as you spread it. For a lot of grass it takes a lot of seed remember that.

I purchased this product, and followed the instructions to the letter and it has not grown, nor did it apply as advertised, even after following same instructions. Now trying to get a refund from Amazon (after calling the company and they referred me back to Amazon) is seemingly hard for the grass seed. I may have to go in the yard and pick up the seed that didn't grown and mail it back to them.

This refill 2lb. pack provides four times the seed as in the starter /sprayer kit but only two additional packs of mousse. So after the first two jugs reseeding ( i.e. first half of the pack) , you only have seed and clear water left to spray for the last half. Commercial hydroseeders provide a heavy coating of mousse to cover the seeds but this company does not.They also do not measure out the amount of seed needed to match the amount of mousse in each jug fill as they do in the starter pack. This leaves one pouring seeds and guessing. While I have just planted this new grass and do not know if it will grow, clear water with seeds is not promising.

This kit hold enough for two full applications. Worked well for me and it was better to pick this grass seed over the other in the full kit as this type of grass seed is not as susceptible to mold as the other type of seed.
