Works brilliantly, very eco-friendly and worth every penny.
In an effort to become more eco-friendly I have changed many products in my household and was impressed with the descriptions of what the W’air could do so I took the plunge and bought one. Overall I have been very impressed and written this review to pass on my experience so far.To begin with it was well packaged, the box and cardboard elements were protective and strong but maybe a tad too much plastic - why plastic film and a plastic bag? The unit itself was all clean lines and super sleek with a reassuring weight to it. Filling the water tank was a bit fiddly at first but I soon got the hang of it.It worked best at refreshing garments and cleaning material shoes. Everything smelt wonderful! My best test was on a silk blouse that I love but I don’t wear very often as it’s hand wash only. It had been pushed to the back of the cupboard never to see the light of day again. So I thought I’d try a refresh on it. After a few passes with the W’air it looked refreshed and smelt amazing! I shall be wearing it again this weekend. It didn’t do so well on old stains but this is understandable - I don’t think any stain removal product works on old stains! I tried it on chocolate, curry sauce, blood and rust stains that hadn’t come out with standard stain remover and a washing machine wash. It DID fade them but they were still visible.New stains were much easier to deal with - I tried it on pasta sauce, red wine and chocolate protein shake spilt down a new white t-shirt. All disappeared as if by magic and with very little effort.I was concerned everything I cleaned was getting very wet but within a few minutes the item was dry again. I checked the water tank thinking it might need refilling as everything was so wet but I’d only used a quarter of the water. I hung clothing up on an airer once clean to allow them to dry all round. The W’air cleaning mat was TINY! It needs to be 4 times the size. Got soaking wet really quickly and I ended up using my ironing board with a towel on it. This worked perfectly and sped up the process no end.So what’s the difference between this and a steam cleaner? With a steam cleaner things don’t generally smell too nice until they dry, they tend to drip and they use a lot of water. But with the W’air the use of detergent makes everything smell wonderful and secondly the tiny amount of water mixed with air produces a really powerful and effective cleaner. Also you have to wait for a steam cleaner to be ready - W’air is ready immediately! So if you want to use less water, not use the washing machine for items barely worn, want to refresh delicate hand wash or dry clean items (therefore saving you money) and have a really good stain remover the W’air is for you.Mine is now permanently plugged in next to my iron so it’s handy to tackle stains before washing, available to refresh instantly those lightly worn items which would otherwise end up in the machine and easily on hand for clothes that need would normally need a trip to the dry cleaners. Given the water savings, money savings and green credentials it’s money well spent.

Super versatile and effective
Found this really effective at cleaning fabrics that I either can't put in the washing machine (as they are too big - e.g. the sofa!) or I wouldn't want to put in the washing machine for fear of ruining them (e.g. my down jacket, or best jeans), and that I don't want to abuse by scrubbing them the old fashioned way (with all the mess and hassle that involves too). I found that this machine enables me to clean those fabrics in a way that is effective (it really does clean them) and but is also protective - the fabrics don't get destroyed in the process and I don't need to worry about scrubbing colours out. Its also GREAT on trainers - no more messy scrubbing or wearing down the fabric and causing those little frayed edges to appear. A couple of minutes with the w'air, and they are done! Sure, the fabric gets wet, and I found I get best results if I rinse the area with some cold water afterwards to ensure that I have got rid of all the cleaning liquid to avoid halo stains afterwards, so it is not a use and go solution, but once the fabric dries out - done! It doesn't replace the washing machine - you're not going to use this on e.g. cheap everyday t-shirts, as those will go straight into the wash, but for everything that you care about, whether its because you REALLY like it or it would be expensive to replace if you wear it out, this is great!! I didn't use the mat much as it just isn't relevant in most of the circumstances when I use this device. In short, it's great, and it has become an everyday tool in my practical cleaning kit!

Not for me
I saw this at the cleaning show in Manchester and it looked great, the concept, the reviews but for me it wasnt great. It wasn't the miracle worker I was expecting unfortunately.

A spray bottle and face cloth is more use!
I do not often leave bad reviews, I prefer to just tell people about good things I recommend - but this was such a waste of money I felt I had to tell people my experience.I bought this off the company’s website when they first started selling them after seeing a video and thinking it looked good. I’ve had it for a while now and it’s really not worth having at all.It just sprays out cold water that you add their overpriced cleaning fluid to. The power of the water coming out isn’t even great. It doesn’t really spray spots out of your clothes, it just gets them soaked. You are probably better just spot washing something under a trickle of water in your sink. Or just get a face cloth and scrub the spot. Works better than this!To “refresh” things it just sprays cold water with their overpriced detergent in it all over everything. It doesn’t really refresh, and a refillable spray bottle works better and costs less (and refill it so ok for environment). If you don’t want to buy febreeze look up homemade options. Even rubbing alcohol in a bottle sprayed on your clothes works better than this (kills germs and dries faster than the cold water) .The sprayer is also messy and gets water everywhere.I’ll give it two stars because the idea is attractive but the actual product is very disappointing. I wish I hadn’t purchased it!!

Useful product!
I was introduced to w’air by a friend who recommended I tried it for using around the house with small children and a dog. So far I have cleaned the sofa, carpet, shoes, clothes and even the dogs bed. I have found so many uses for it. Would certainly recommend to anyone with a busy (messy!) household.
