Why it took me so many years to purchase one of these was just silly. I've seen them used in Italian restaurants for decades, mostly for fresh made individual pasta cooking. My holdout was likely that I'd do it when I made fresh pasta, which to date I haven't done, but soon. In the meantime I did the big pot of boiling salted water method for all pasta varieties. Delverde is my go to dried pasta of any shape. I hate wasting H2O, and using that much water for a few portions of pasta FINALLY got me to getting this basket. No, I won't use it for long noodles, but it is perfect for dried pasta nests, ravioli, and any kind of dumpling; pastas that don't need to be swirled in a larger space to avoid sticking strands. Yes, so just gently shake the basket, and/or use a wooden spoon to move the product around till it's to the point where no more stirring is required. When perfect, empty pasta into the sauce for final cooking. The pasta water is standing by to add to sauce as needed.

Good size and great handle. The product was bent and managed to somewhat straighten it, but not perfectly round. - Easier process than returning it. The screen is definitely thin metal resulting in poor quality. I will use it. Would I buy it again. No!

Love this!! Makes it so easy to prep ramen!

Coming back from vacationing in Japan, I’ve been inspired to learn the art of making ramen. I liked this product so much that I bought another one so that I can cook 2 bowls of noodles at one time. I use it with a 12 qt pot to fit 2 strainers. It’s easy to clean and the noodles come out perfect each time.

Good for all kinds of noodle. But I hope the diameter can be bigger.
