Great shoes, great support, this lifelong runner says 5 stars!
I’ve been running nearly 50 years, since my runner dad invited me to join him for a 5k in 1974. At first, I ran to stay in condition for soccer, but soon the running bug bit me, and the rest is history.I always buy either ASICS or Saucony because they fit me the best. I could not find a shoe I liked in my town, so I went on Amazon. I’ve had the Gel Cumulus before, and the price was good, so I went for it.Runner Description: Age 64, 3 knee surgeries in the 90’s, cancer 2014-15, tendency to have planters fasciitis, no longer runs anything longer than about 10 miles. Runs around 80-100 miles a month.Pluses:1. Very comfortable. Perfect fit for average or narrow feet. Run true to size. Great cushioning. I haven’t even used my planters’ inserts.2. Durable tread. I’ve run 80+ miles so far and they look new. The customers who had bad treads got defective shoe and could have exchanged them.3. Price. As good as any $100-$120 shoe at about half the price.Minuses:1. None so far.

One of the best Asics values out there!
I am a lifelong fan of Asics, it is one of the few brands that I can almost guarantee I will like the fit, so I am usually never hesitant to buy online (even if I didn't have free returns with Prime). I've worn everything from GT-IIs and Gel Lyte IIIs in the early 90s to the early versions of Kayano's and the Nimbus. I would give the Nimbus a slight edge as my overall favorite model over the years.Based on my preference for a cushioned shoe, for Asics as well as other brands, I finally decided to try the Cumulus due to similarities with the Nimbus but at a lower price point. The Cumulus 23 does not disappoint. Extremely light, great amount of cushioning, great fit. The only tiny criticism is the overly tilted geometry of the heel, it tilts more than possibly any shoe I've ever worn, I don't know if that is an over-correction based on the heel-to-toe drop. It is slightly noticeable, but overall doesn't change how much I like this shoe.I bought the red and grey model, it is slightly flashy but in a fun way and not the all to common fluorescent color schemes that running shoes tend to favor, so I like this one a lot. I like a lot of the other color schemes in the Cumulus as well, and may buy another pair just to keep at work so I can throw them on for walks on my breaks when I am wearing dress casual shoes to work.Great shoe, you probably can't find a shoe with this much cushioning at this price point.

Really comfortable for walking, went with Wide and recommend it
I looked all over for a shoe I felt like I could be confident in when walking my dog. I felt pretty good about Kuru, so I invested in a pair. It was the most I had ever spent on shoes, other than dress shoes, but with as much walking as I planned on doing every day with my lab/husky, I wanted something that would offer the support and comfort I needed so I didn't have to think about the shoes when walking. I wasn't opposed to spending on something that was engineered well.I received my Kurus and as soon as I started walking in them I noticed that the back of the shoe was rubbing against my heel, even with socks that extended up past the top of the shoe. I dismissed it and gave them another shot, but my heels felt even more raw the second time. I had to return them and look for something else.I settled on these ASICS. I normally wear 10.5 normal fit and have never ordered a Wide shoe in my life (I wouldn't consider my feet very narrow, but normal shoes have fit well for me without any issues), but based on other review recommendations saying that the non-wide is very narrow, I took a chance on getting the 10.5 Wide and it actually fits very well. So well that I'm afraid of how tight the non-wide would fit if I had gotten that instead. What I really like about these shoes is the immediate comfort I experienced when walking and not having it rub against my heel. I did have some concern about lower back pain, but I do not believe it was the result of switching walking shoes as it subsided after a week. After breaking them in, it is a really good shoe for me and I'm happy with my purchase.

Comfortable cushion insole
I wear these shoes for work. I work in a fitness center and am on my feet about half the day. I've had the Gel Cumulus 24's and they are extremely similar. I would say they fit slightly bigger but ordered the same size in the 23's and 24's. The insole has a ton of cushion and there is plenty of room in the toe box. This is definitely a walking/running shoes, I wouldn't use them for training or multidirectional movements. Overall very happy with them.

much more comfortable than
the adidas ultraboost 5.0 that is being replaced.I don't wear these shoes for exercising, I stand on concrete all day and don't really walk much and these shoes are very comfortable. These shoes were also significantly cheaper than the ultraboost was.-------UPDATE------These shoes aren't very durable. The outside toe parts have already developed pretty significant holes after only 6 months. Still comfortable compared to the much more expensive shoes.

The last of its kind?
I have used different versions of the Cumulus since its early iterations in the late 90s. I run about 15-20 miles per week and have a mostly neutral gait. For the most part, the Cumulus series has been a consistently great shoe. This model peaked around the 20 and 21, both of which had a somewhat wider fit and absolutely superb cushioning. The 22 was a disappointment, with an undersized and excessively narrow fit. I am happy to report that these 23s feel like the 20s and 21s. They are again roomier and the cushioning is excellent.I noticed that ASICS is now up to a Cumulus 25, and that shoe is a disaster. Gone is the sleek, relatively low profile of the Cumulus of yore. Instead, it now looks like a Hoka with a huge chunky sole and an overinflated price. I guess ultracushioned shoes sell these days so ASICS jumped on the bandwagon and wrecked a perfectly good thing. Fortunately, older models of the Cumulus can still be found on this site at a decent price. After that, I guess I’ll be trying another brand. I have run in Saucony shoes before and likes those, so that’s probably what I’ll do.For now, pick up these 23s while you still can.

I now own 4 pairs of these! So so so good, the best I have ever owned
Having already owned 2 pairs, I saw these at a good price so I bought 2 more pairs! They are the best shoes I have ever owned. They are like walking on air, I can walk for miles and miles, no back pain, no foot pain, just perfect. The cushioned soles are such high quality.

Customer service at its best 👍
Purchased ASICS runners. At the time I believed them to be extra wide but unfortunately were regular width. I began wearing the shoes. Although tighter than normal I continued wearing them. I eventually noticed that they were regular width and subsequently contacted the seller. They immediately responded advising that they would look after prepaid return of the shoes. I advised them this wasn’t feasible as I had worn them for some time. They immediately offered a partial refund for something that, for the most part, was my fault for not checking originally . Thanks Wooki for going above and beyond. It’s satisfying knowing that there are still sellers out there who still care about their customers. I will definitely buy from this seller again 👍
