This product is much more flimsy and not what was expected quality-wise. The metal band edges are sharp in some places and could cause injury. It is somewhat hard to pull open and shut but perhaps will loosen up with use. Honestly, if I had to do this purchase over again, I would pay more and go for the better quality product.

First time I opened and tried to close it bent. Am going to try to use it though. Am disappointed was hoping to use it to mark quilts for quilting on longarm

I consider this part of my essential kit for sewing anything with buttons or equally spaced ties or other closures... it's so handy! Time saving, accurate and so easy to use. The brassy gold finish is lovely too.
