The Medium Ruck pack provides an intermediate option for load-carrying equipment. In addition to a main compartment, the Medium Rucksack offers two exterior pockets in the front, and modular webbing on the sides and rear pocket face to be used for attaching additional MOLLE compatible pouches and accessories. Designed to allow Soldiers to carry supplies needed for a 3-5 day mission. The bag holds up true to form and is actually extremely comfortable with the load just like my alice pack. Anyhow, it's wroth noting that he service when I ordered the pack was also outstanding and I received my pack extremely fast (brand new) still wrapped in the plastic. It’s a great size compared to the previous ruck and has a surprising amount of organization, even in the main compartment. Sadly, this pack fails in weight distribution, at least for me. Even after tightening the waist strap all the way down I couldn’t manage to get the weight of the fully loaded pack on my hips. I think progress was made with this ruck but it may be time for the Army to get a pack designed by an actual pack company (mystery ranch for example).

Great size for a 3 day patrol and/or drill weekend in the field
Great piece of kit. Fills in the gap between the large MOLLE II rucksack and the slightly too small MOLLE II assault pack. Comfortable to wear even in body armor. I'm able to fit all my 3 day patrol needs in this ruck. It came complete with the plastic frame as advertised. Shipping was quick and arrived in perfect condition from Army Property. I looped some shockcord through the side PALS webbing so I could strap a sleep roll to one side. Overall, I really like this ruck and would recommend it highly.
