actually I didn't expect much of this machine considering the very discounted price. Fully surprised with it. it really makes great coffee from Espresso to milk chocolate to cappuccino, latte..... small size and great job and excellent price.

Oh le bon café !J'ai été habituée au café soluble après une mauvaise expérience avec une autre machine à café d'une autre marque.Cette année, après avoir grillé 2 bouilloires, je me suis dit que le temps était certainement venu de me faire plaisir et de m'offrir une machine à café. Après avoir fait divers comparatifs, lu les divers avis, je me suis tournée vers la Dolce Gusto.Je ne suis absolument pas déçue de mon choix ! Les cafés sont certes de petite taille (pour les expresso) mais le goût est plus qu'à la hauteur de mes espérances. Il vaut largement celui du bistrot du coin. Il est bon et chaud comme j'aime. Oui, car le choix de la température a lui aussi été un élément important. Je n'aime pas me brûler, et de pouvoir le boire bien chaud mais pas brûlant, sans attendre ou mettre de l'eau froide, c'est vraiment agréable. Le cappucino est juste formidable ! La mousse... Le goût intense et doux... Bref, c'est que du bonheur !

The Dolce Gusto Genio S (or S Plus/Touch, as the features are similar) is an outstanding machine for its price point and size. It has genuinely changed my morning routine for the better, but it's not without a few small quirks you should be aware of.​The Pros (Why I Love It):​Compact and Stylish: It takes up very little counter space and the design is sleek and modern. The automatic operation (just slide in the pod and hit start) is a huge win for speed.​Versatility and Taste: The 15-bar pressure really does deliver a decent crema, especially on the espresso shots. The variety of drinks is fantastic—from strong Americanos to milky lattes and even cold brews and hot chocolates. The coffee shop-style drinks are surprisingly good for a capsule system.​XL Functionality: The ability to easily select a larger drink volume (XL) is perfect for filling up a travel mug on the go.​The Cons (The Truthful Bits):​Water Tank Size: The water tank is small (around 0.8L), which means I have to refill it almost daily, sometimes twice if I’m having multiple cups. This is the trade-off for the compact size, but it's a minor hassle.​Pod Cost and Waste: Like all pod systems, the cost per cup adds up, and the fact that the pods aren't readily recyclable in standard household waste is a major drawback. I wish they had a more accessible recycling program.​Maintenance: The machine is prone to clogging if you use hard water and don't descale religiously. If the water flow starts slowing down, you have to clean the piercing needle (a little fiddly) and run a full descaling cycle. This is typical for pressure-based pod machines, but worth noting.​Overall Verdict:​If you want the convenience of a coffee-shop menu at home with minimal fuss, and you have limited counter space, the Genio S is an excellent purchase. It makes great-tasting, hot coffee quickly. Just be prepared for frequent refills and be diligent about descaling to keep the flow strong.​Highly recommended for the everyday user who values speed and variety.
