Avène Tolerance Control Soothing Recovery Cream, Sensitive Skin, 1.3 oz

I have tried so many face moisturizers that I have lost track. I have combination skin that is also extremely sensitive and reactive. This has been my holy grail facial moisturizer for the last 5 years, maybe longer. My skin never reacts poorly to this. I love that it's unscented.

I so wish I had known about this skincare line a long time ago, but just glad I did find it at all. I have rosacea (including ocular rosacea) diagnosed by a dermatologist. I had been through all the typical stores and websites, trying so many things over the last 15 years. Yes, most were supposed to be for people with skin problems. EVERY SINGLE TIME I tried something, within five minutes, my skin was bright red. My skin reacted to EVERYTHING. I started to believe there was not one single product on the entire planet that my skin would not react to! It was so frustrating. Purchase, fail, repeat. Thing is, I had tried their spring water spray. I sort of ignored all the other products until I was talking to someone randomly and they asked if I had tried Avene. Honestly I decided maybe this was providence and that I had better try it just to be on the safe side. What would life be like if I had ignored their advice and not tried it? If this company ever goes out of business, I will have to live with terrible skin because I already know there is nothing else out there. I had read a review whereby someone said their doctor told them the longer they used the products, the better their skin would get. This is completely true. But even initially, all I cared was that I could relieve the dryness with SOMETHING that did not turn my skin RED IMMEDIATELY! Even THAT, I would have been happy with! Now for the rest of the benefits. I had the good intuition to purchase two of these when they were on sale. I am so glad I did. I use it like crazy every chance I get. It just feels so good going on and I like touching my skin even after the product dissipates. No redness, no irritation, it actually CALMS my skin. And makes it like, well, "real skin." I'm glad I also got the thicker version in the tube, Cicalfate. This is my go-to for dryer areas and in the winter. The two together along with the water spray, if you like to use something like that, are a great overall program. Definitely other things I would like to try. Again, my goal was to help others who have skin problems because everything else out there has no concept whatsoever of calming the skin, but the exact opposite -- irritating it worse (even if those products are supposed to help with redness or irritation). And I felt the company truly deserves a shout-out because they GET IT when it comes to skincare products. Whatever they've done, they are experts, far more than all the other skincare lines and I don't care how long those have been around. If it doesn't immediately tell you your skin "likes it" and shows it by not reacting or immediately getting better, why on earth would you pay your hard-earned money to buy it and keep using it? It's worth every penny, don't bat an eyelash, your skin is worth that and more. If it's on sale, get a lot of it because trust me, you are going to want and need it. You will be so glad you got more than one. I definitely am! THANK YOU, AVENE, WE LOVE YOU HERE IN AMERICA! YOU UNDERSTAND SKINCARE LIKE NO OTHER COMPANY! Update: Wanted to comment that I'm still so grateful for a product that does FAR MORE than what you expect! I recently bought more. I watch my skin calm down the minute I put it on. I don't know entirely how the ingredients do what they do, but to the company ... please don't fix what isn't broken! Too many companies have a good thing and then change it. Please don't, the products are perfect and far beyond expectation! I also wanted to mention it seems the Tolerance tube will get EVERY LAST BIT out, you won't be wondering if there is anything left you are discarding. The Cicalfate tube is a bit different, it's more like a squeeze tube. But I feel I can still get the product out to use it all. That said, you get your money's worth. I'm also starting to use the Cicalfate on my hands in the winter, too (which are sadly starting to show my age). But this product line has literally CHANGED MY LIFE! BUY IT, it's the REAL DEAL!

This is my go-to cream whenever I have redness or skin reactions and need "recovery" time from other beauty products, like retinols or active moisturizers. It is especially awesome after a visit to the esthetician and the removal of milia. I recently had an overabundance and made an appointment where it took her over an hour to remove 75% of them - I couldn't handle any more - leaving me to look like Frankenstein and his brides scary child. But I used this with some bio-oil only on my face for three days and everything healed beautifully. I've used this product for years when I have reactions. It's a bit pricy for every day use, but I always keep it on hand, especially in the winter when my sensitive skin reacts more often. It's supposed to be save for patients who have skin irritation from cancer and radiation treatment as well. Very gentle, not greasy, absorbs very quickly and completely unscented and fragrance free.

I absolutely love the Avène Tolerance Control Soothing Skin Recovery Cream — it’s become a sanctuary for my sensitive skin. From the very first application, I noticed how calming and gentle it feels. This is the only moisturizer I can tolerate after developing steroid induced pustualr rosacea. I’ve had rashes, pustules, raw peeling skin, dryness, everything you can think of. I absolutely do not tolerate hyaluronic acid or niaminicide, and so many moisturizers include these ingredients. This never burned. I can wear it under makeup and haven’t noticed pilling. I have to take a break from it in the summer because it’s a little heavy for Texas heat, but I use it at night. Love this stuff!

I have periorbital dermatitis and this product has been great in helping reduce the redness and inflammation I’ve been experiencing. It doesn’t dry out my skin like other products have. I’ve loved it so much I’ve gone through the bottle in a month.

I have sensitive skin that is constantly getting irritated by moisturizers/seemingly simple skin care products. I read a few blogs/articles/reviews on different products others have tried for similar issues and this one came up, so I decided to give it a try. It’s nice and light and goes on smoothly. Skin feels moisturized and does not get irritated, so that’s a win! The only reason I took off 1 star is it leaves my skin a bit oily for my liking, but that could just be my skin.

I added this cream to my sandwich method using tretinoin and omg I love it!!!!!!! It's creamy, calming, and soothing! I'm so satisfied and have subscribed to it! For someone with extremely sensitive skin it is perfect! I highly recommend!!!

Avene is my go to skin care products. Love the Tolerance control range. Perfect for my dry skin. It’s gentle and my skin looks amazing.

This cream is excellent, perfect for very dry skin, after a just few applications my skin is so soft, absorbs easily, and it has been great on my sensitive skin, definitely recommend

La marca en si ya la conocía y es sinónimo de garantía de calidad,sin embargo no todos sus productos hacen reaccionar igual a la piel,según sea la tuya. En mi caso,por fin después de muchas pruebas y gastos en otras, incluso recomendadas por la dermatóloga de mi hijo,por fin dimos con la ideal. Está le va fenomenal,su piel es mixta, delicadísima,con dermatitis atópica y para colmo acné en algunas zonas. Gracias a esta,se puede hidratar después de su limpieza sin que se loñe irrite la zona,sobre todo de la zona baja de mandíbula y barbilla. De verdad que ha sido un descanso descubrirla tanto para el como para mí. No huele a nada y se extiende fenomenal,alivia la piel de inmediato y se puede usar con zonas de acné. Para tratar el acné uso otra de esta misma marca que es maravillosa también. El bote tiene un dosificador muy cómodo y con una pequeña cantidad bien extendida sirve. Si estáis pasando un caso parecido,de corazón os recomiendo probarla. Es un poquito cara pero compensa en todo. Llegó a tiempo y bien embaladas. Espero os sirva de ayuda,un saludo!

Finalmente una crema che capisce la mia pelle ipersensibile e reattiva! La Avène Tolérance Control Crema Lenitiva Riequilibrante è diventata il mio alleato quotidiano. Appena la stendo (viso, collo e contorno occhi) sento subito un sollievo: in pochi secondi spariscono bruciore, pizzicore e senso di tensione. Dopo un paio di giorni la pelle è più calma, meno rossa e la barriera cutanea sembra davvero più forte. Cosa mi è piaciuto di più: Texture leggera, non grassa, si assorbe in un attimo Zero profumo, zero conservanti, formula sterile (perfetta per pelli allergiche) 98 % di ingredienti di origine naturale + D-Sensinose e acqua termale di Avène Idratazione che dura tutto il giorno Adatta anche al contorno occhi e utilizzabile da bambini (dai 2 anni) L’ho usata mattina e sera per settimane e non ho avuto nessun tipo di reazione, anzi: la mia pelle “che reagisce a tutto” è diventata molto più tollerante. Se avete la pelle intollerante, reattiva o allergica e cercate una crema davvero delicata ma efficace, questa è un must. Non tornerò più indietro! Consigliatissima al 100 %.
