Works for zinc lids
Bought these to use with the old Zink canning lids. They fit well and stay in place once installed. For now I am using the lid just for storage but I am curious to see how they will work for dry canning. I will order more in the future.

Fit canning jar and seal well.
Bought them t o use on some old bail top canning jar that were my grandmothers. I haven't been able to find the red rubber ones they used but thought the silicon ones would not dry out like the rubber did. So far work very well.

Work great for white mason freezer lids
Nice to have a way to seal all the mason jars in my pantry with non-rusting lids! The freezer lids alone still allow those tiny bugs to sneak into my grains and nuts, but not with these.

They surprised me!
I had gotten some white Ball jar lids (the ones that aren't used for canning, just storing) and was disappointed that they were not even close to being leak-proof. I resigned myself to only using them for dried foods or those without liquids. Then I saw these gaskets and decided to give them a try. When I compared them to the inside of the lids, I was afraid that they were too wide -- they don't fit into the indentation around the circumference of the lids. But I decided to try one anyway. And it worked! No leaks at all. I put the whole thing (lid and gasket) in the dishwasher and both came out clean. They separated, but that's no big deal; I just put the gasket back into the lid for next time. Now I have a lot more usable lids. I recommend them!

works for more than mason jars.
I am using these silicone gaskets for sealing my 6 Gal Aqua-Tainer spout opening. The fit isn't perfect, but good enough for me.

So leaky! Not remotely watertight.
I bought these to pair with the Ball plastic caps ( Ball Regular Mouth Jar Storage Caps Set of 8 ), because I use my canning jars for short-term storage or carrying drinks sometimes and, while the regular canning lids work fine for that, frequent trips through the dishwasher make the metal lid rings rust. However, I don't know if I got a bad batch or what, but these things turned out to be almost completely useless. If a jar full of water sealed with one of these tips over inside my bag, it starts leaking immediately and within a few minutes there's fully half a cup of water soaking through the bag--the jar might as well be sealed with paper and a rubber band for all the good the plastic lid and ring do. If that much liquid can get through, I can't imagine they would be much use for preventing air exchange or freezer burn either. They work passably for very thick liquids like a smoothie or honey. Or I guess for something you never ever plan to let tip or jiggle. Maybe if the Ball caps were made of a stiffer plastic that could screw on much tighter, the extra pressure would make up for the weak seal of these rings, but as it is I'm considering just throwing the whole lot out.

It isn't smooth, but it works so far
They work for my purposes but they aren't smooth to close. They're pretty thick too so I fear it may ruin the official Ball type plastic lids. I bought unofficial lids that I have yet to try these on, so I'll edit when I do. I use mason jars for overnight oatmeal. It sucks having milk in transit spill and having to hold a sticky jar while eating. This should fix that issue. Edit 1: when I tighten it, my family can't open it... I'll have to experiment with making it less tight and see if it still works.

Quality present, great feel with the silicone.
Exactly what was needed for my older blue jars. They are well made, all uniform and with the clear/opaque color the color of my jars shows through. Grateful to replace the worn out sealants to use these jars that were from my mom. The upgrade to silicone is terrific.
