Yup It Works!
Works just like it should. Keeps liquids at temp for long periods of time. Nice manageable size and doesn't leak. Easy to fill and seal.

Hate this. Doesn't do anything they claim it does. Save your money and buy a Cambro from somewhere else. REALLY crap. My stuff got cold after 1 hour. Why is this product still on the market? May be it would work great if you wanted to cool down your coffee?

Great product, poor valve shaft - Please see update below
May 2013We presently own 4 of the LD500. Each comes with a Tomlinson Valve/Spigot. This spigot is top line however, the shaft it mounts to is not Tomlinson, and therefore does not match up completely. They sometimes drip. The retaining clip on the back shaft will pull through the wing nut while attaching the Tomlinson spigot.Called Carlisle and they recommended calling my distributor (Webstaurantstore) for replacement part. I did that with the same results. Called back Carlisle and hesitantly they shared that they have had some dripping problems. They recently retooled and suggested reordering this part. I am going to try another solution, using brass fittings that align with this valve and will let you know in future.Carlisle makes great products, however, they should be more forth coming with any problems with any item. These are used for catering and could cause a great deal of embarrassment when something fails.The price is much less than the Cambro line, however, be aware of potential dripping problems.For the price you can't go wrongUPDATEMay 2014We now own 8 of these (various colors)and two soup/chili/stew types. The newest units appear to have a different type of stem which does not leak. DO NOT TAKE APART. Clean thoroughly by running soapy water through first then rinse water.ALWAYS use coffees in the same container (DO NOT place coffee in your hot water container [used for tea or other hot beverages] because it will pick up the taste of coffee.We built 2 special carts utilizing Nexel Shelving 18"d x 48"w x 34"h with the upgraded casters (locking).Not only does it protect the valve assemblies it doubles as a work table. We custom cut the posts. Used a wire shelf on the bottom & top and used 2 end stops & 1 side stop in the middle so that the containers would stay in place.The total was about $400.00 ($200. per cart)plus s/h. The people at nexelshelf.com are extremely helpful with great prices.
