Pros said okay for beginners
The Pros said it was a mediocre set ( they didn't like the handles), but good for beginners. Personally, I'm okay with the handles. Prince was agreeable to all. I thought they were sharp enough as I was using them right out of the box. Do wish there were more gouges instead of flat tips though.

Great for wood carving tools. I use it for gouges. Great tool...especially for a beginner.

It’s important to keep a good effective edge and this kit will get you there
I’ve been using this after every job I do. There’s a bit of a learning curve in learning how to use it but one tip I give everyone is you always pull the carving tool you never push because it is a block of wood with leather stropes on it. Only pull back, never push forward and it will keep your edges, clean and sharp and make cutting and using them easier and easier.

Did not work.
I purchased this to sharpen my Old Timer carving knife; mainly the spoon carving blade. The knife doesn't fit the sharpening block.

An absolute must!
If you have Flexcut knives/carving tools this is an absolute must. A minute or so using this product before or after using your tools each time dramatically alters their cutting ability. I’m deducting one star as I feel this essential is a little overpriced for what it is.

Brilliant
I just started working with lino and after watching different videos on Youtube on how to keep your tools sharp I found this product. I would have never thought you could hone your tools on leather with a special compound, it its really easy to use. There is a video by Jackson's Art on how to use the SlipStrop, I recommend it if you're new to lino cutting like me and want to look after your tools properly, this will keep them nice and sharp!.
