There are a couple of good poems but most are very american and hard for kids to understand.

I purchased this book for my 3 year old grandson who loves rhymes. In a few weeks he has memorized several of the fun lyrics. The book contains traditional songs and poems that delight adults as well as children and it makes for a thoroughly enjoyable read-aloud.

Good collection of interesting poems. Have read plenty of reviews before buying, most people say the size of the book does not correspond to the price. For me, yes the book might seem small, but I do think it is well worth the cost as the educational value of these poems are great (speaking from the view of a Durham's graduate in English Literature).
