No Fancy Brand Name But Works Wonderfully.
Get past the pride of a big brand name.I've used two MEC packs i paid a big price for. I also tried an external frame pack last time.I got so fed up with the MEC packs i gave each away after a while of use. The external frame, after a five day hiking trip i hauled to the curb and left it. It disappeared thankfully. So i am fed up paying big bucks and poor results. But i needed a pack. So i said may as well not waste any more money. Was i surprised.Great adjustments for torso length. I got it to fit better than any pack ever with the adjustments.Great padding on shoulder straps.Load lifters too.Hip belt padding actually is long enough to go around my hips (other packs often dont), 42 inch waste for a big guy like me (250 - I'm thin at 220). Awesome plus.Only design flaw. Water bottle pouches on each side of the pack. When side pockets are filled they hang out over the water bottles. Very hard to get out. Can't get a bottle out while walking. Can't reach it anyway even if you could wrestke it out. Have to take the pack off. Stupid if you ask me.So i use a hydration bladder. But i hiked 10.5 km late last night and i am telling you I was reminded again that this is the most comfortable pack I've ever owned. And the quality of the materials is as good as any brand pack I've owned. Its not an "ultralite" pack. But it works.... and the price. Wow! I'll never ever spend 250-400 for a backpack again. At this price they are disposable. When it breaks get a clean shiny new one. You can but three or four packs for the price of other brands and you'll have a new bag that doesn't look like crap...Just get it. There is no risk here.Swallow the ego. 95% of people don't need $200 - $300 packs for the hiking they do. Hikers are mostly weekend warriors, a few of us are the odd 3-5 day trip, not long-distance hikers like the Appalachian Trail. We can fall into brand MARKETING and envy to ring more money out if you.My 2 cents after wasting thousands of dollars over the years.

Great... just needs bigger rain cover
Great bag overall once got adjustments right for yourself, very comfy once in and packed correctly and has some handy attachments to add more to the outside.Only thing I have found annoying is that if the bag is full then the rain cover struggles to cover the full bag! If you have extra bits attached to the outside then there is no point trying. Other bags I have had give a lot more extra material to compensate for this... I have considered looking for another rain cover for this bag!Bag is great apart from that :-)
