NETGEAR WNDAP360-100UKS Dual Band Wireless-N Access Point

I bought a Cisco access point last week to replace a now defunct Belkin per-N access point which was 5 years old. Regrettably this unit failed to meet either the range, signal strength, signal consistency or ease of access to user variable settings of the older model.This Netgear access point, after 72 hours of use, seems faultless, easy to install, wide range of customisable settings if required, good strong and consistent signal and so far very good functionality. In an office setting it is aesthetically pleasing, looking like a slightly large smoke detector, it is simple to ceiling mount with a quick release mounting plate and is so well physically designed it could have been made by Apple.It cost £50 more than the Cisco access point I tried before but it was worth every penny, it is simply in a different class both in signal strength and connection reliability.

I was disappointed with this product. I bought it to take over from my Virgin superhub but the signal is no stronger. I've kept it because it should cope better with the large number of wireless devices we have and also it will act as a repeater. Overall I don't think it's worth the money.

I have set this up for someone who lives in a large old farmhouse with thick (3ft+) stone walls. This AP has succeeded where many others have failed before.Simple to install, simple to set up, and the range of it is fantastic considering the environment it was asked to function in.

Bought this for home - it's a bit more pricy than other wi-fi units, but this thing just works. It is easy to configure - I set up VLANs and guest wi-fi and internal wi-fi effortlessly. It works with all my kit including apple, and dell PCs. Would recommend a purchase.

A good access point when it works, has occasional issues with iPhone 4's and occasional disconnection issues. Would repeatidly disconnect all devices in 30 minute intervals when I first recieved it, however once upgrading to Netgears beta firmware 2.0.6 which you have to raise a support ticket to get the 30 minute issue was resolved.Netgear do not seem to be bothered about resolving the outstanding issues so I suggest researching the netgear forums before purchasing.
