Silky - 717-24 GomBoy Curve Professional Folding Saw 240mm, Large Teeth Yellow

Great little folding saw recommended by a good friend. I keep it in my Jeep recovery bag in case I have to saw some branches out of the way on the trail. Works well. Highly recommended.

Using one arm to saw and one arm to brace a 4.25” log, this saw cut it in 1:30 minutes, same log took 3:50 with my Sven saw. It’s also lighter than the Sven by 30 grams (over 1 ounce; 270gm vs 300gm.) Problem with Sven saw is that when you get deep into the log, the side of log opposite the cutting teeth hits the saw bracing. The gomboy case (130gm) is too heavy to take on a human powered outing, however. The Sven saw is nicely contained within the handle, but the time cutting is nearly half so, lighter and faster is better. Plus you can’t attempt to cut thicker logs with Sven due to saw brace. *also Gomboy can be used as a snowsaw in this size for avy forecast, Sven saw cannot. Used this saw while climbing the trunk of a tree, the extra length of the 240 allows for branch cutting 3-4’ above your head depending on your arm length and the curved blade really helps when your one arming above your head with the other around the trunk as you balance on top of your ladder or steps. Small branches under one inch may be cut with one pull of the saw if the branch is within range of your reach to allow the hilt to contact the branch. This is an outstanding saw. I regret not purchasing earlier due to already owning that other saw in my picture. Time saved from cutting equals a lot depending on what your doing. It could be the difference between spooking a deer, money, time with family, getting a fire going before it rains, etc.

Absolute best backpacking tool ever!! This tool is not only light but makes quick work of deadfall. Like 6-9” logs in less than a minute. Makes gathering wood a breeze. High quality, lightweight, packable, and easy to use.

for limbing and smaller jobs this is just fine, campsite, backback or travel machine ready. four wheeler or snowmachinge handy for trail maintanance, super sharp, fast cutting action. bought ta larger one for tree trunks, standing live or dead and this smaller i believe might even tackle those larger sizes, taing a bit longer. saw this saw on youtube, survival channels and was impressed. having bought athree various sizes can say they are awesome. my lot is thinner in a weekend and handy to carry along on a short jaunt, tagging and cutting saplings to thin the wood lot, faster and quieter than a chain saw for those circumstances.

I use this to cut trees for mountain bike trails. This knife is super sharp and sturdy. The blade is thicker than other brands and doesn’t bend like other brands. I love it. I also like the plastic carrying case it comes with. Makes it easy to toss in my bag when on the trails. I bought a different brand knife before this for half the price, but the blade bent and broke after a few days. I am nope sold on these silky knives. They cost more money, but it’s well worth it.

Great bug out tool. Sarp, compact, light. Works great for clearing low limbs on trees to build a camp site and for making fire wood.

Cuts wood well. Less effort with this saw vs the Big Boy with XL teeth. I find that the big boy has me getting tired quicker than the gomboy curve. This saw is heavy. You're going to have a weight penalty pretty significantly with this saw. If you are conscience of grams, just get the pocket boy which is 4+oz and be done with it. If you are a four season backpacker this is the one of the best saws to buy. Don't be followed because you're a 'big boy' that you need the silky big boy, trust me, you want this one instead. not related to the saw... Mine arrived used and smelling like butt. :(

Serra japonesa pra toda a vida. É uma Silky. Não preciso dizer mais nada. Há mais de um tamanho de serra (estude antes de comprar). Serre pondo a força somente na puxada em sua direção. Case transparente robusto com passa cinto. Deve ter na mala de ferramentas ou na mochila.

Ein wirklich tolles Produkt! Die kleineren Teile hier im Bild habe ich mit dem Gomboy geschnitten. Es dauert länger als mit dem Katanaboy 700, aber das ist klar. Sie ergänzen sich sehr gut. Einen Schnitt von unten kann man mit der Gomboy einfacher machen als mit dem Katanaboy. Die gebogenen Klinge fühlt sich beim sägen auch sehr gut an. Wird meine Immer-Dabei Säge sein!

This little hand saw goes through wood like butter, compact, lightweight and takes very little effort to make fast cuts. Best hand saw I've owned, perfect for camping and hiking. You get what you pay for in this multi use little package. I would have preferred a sturdy nylon belt case to the rigid plastic one it comes with although it provides better protection to the saw.

Les petits branches des arbres se coupe vraiment très facilement. Elle est légère et très solide

Si te quieres dejar de problemas y frustraciones, este es el bueno. Tiene filo hasta pa' llevar. Corta muy suave, solo con cuidado para no quebrar la hoja.
