Rockwell 6C
Wide range of shaving settings, from Mild to Aggressive. Dream shaving razor. Worth it.

Extremely smooth shave
Finally able purchase it. Initially confused whether go with 2C or 6C considering the price difference. However finally go with 6C which was a correct decision. Used with 7'O Clock super premium to test it and yes this still gives me very smooth shave even if with plate no 4! Plate 1 is too mild and only recommend for the beginners. Hence, so much fun with multiple base plate with different level of aggressiveness.

Awesome razor
Awesome razor... Words cannot describe the smoothness and efficiency of this razor, paired with any type of blade, works like a charm... A bit costly but definitely worth the investment.

Mild to balanced interchangeable/ adjustable close comb
Shave with a cold water splash No pre-shave Used Rockwell 6C J crew edition (mild to balanced adjustable/ interchangeable close comb) with Supermax diamond edge - excellent combination (for me). Note - blade on its 1st use today. Enough has been said about Rockwell razors - 6c or 6s. Not much blade feel, balanced cutting power and I suspect plate R6 could be perfectly balanced, possibly, just touching medium aggression. Thank you u/UncleJo-66 for arranging this from Kaneda. Total weight - 76 gms (decent) Weight of head and plate - 42 gms Weight of handle - 34 gms - not slippery unless you have seriously soapy hands. Blade loading is crisp, fits really really well. Alignment is perfect touchwood and shaving under the nose was a breeze (despite the bulky profile of the head). There is an overhang of the blade. I am guessing R5 and R6 is what I would use mostly, maybe just R6 but will try every plate just for the fun of it. Box presentation is sweet, additional images uploaded. Man Arden shaving cream (fresh) applied using Den of Men (synthetic) - face lather Single pass - plate R5 - with the grain Alum (hint of feedback around jaw and under the lip - was way too quick today) Post shave included application of Nishman cologne after shave lotion (cologne, hint of a sting and have added some witch hazel toner) A nice shave! Two star for Overpricing
As a razor, it's marvellous but very overpriced product. Better to buy from Rockwell site. There you can get diacount always.

Should have bought one years ago
Yesterday I had the best shave of my life! I've had my eye on this razor for a couple of years, but I owned other razors like the Merkur 34C, Edwin Jagger DE89, a Parker 99R butterfly... and I thought it would be a waste of money to buy another razor. How many razors does a man need? Well, the Merkur 34C handle broke off the head (simply from twisting it on too firmly - did not drop it) and I never warmed up to the Parker (allowed way to much blade flex and "skipping"), so I was down to just the Jagger. I liked the Jagger, but never loved it. I got decent shaves but invariably had minor razor burn and/or weepers. It wasn't a big deal, but I wasn't eager to shave, and so only did so every few days. This confused me, because the DE89 is considered a very mild razor. So yes, it was time to try something new. I decided that I wanted something adjustable because I had a theory that maybe a mild razor wasn't the best choice for me. Rather than buy an aggressive razor and possibly regret it, adjustable was the obvious choice and I already had my eye on the Rockwell, so... cha-ching... Amazon. For the initial shaves I went with the #2 and #3 plates. I would say the #3 is pretty close to the Edwin Jagger DE89 regarding aggressiveness. The shave quality/comfort is a bit better though. With the #2, I could easily shave carelessly and have zero burn, but not a very close shave, either. Various blades were used, but I won't get into the weeds on that topic. The perfect shave: So yesterday I decided to bring things up a notch - the #4 plate, with 2 days growth. I loaded a new Shark DE blade with the #4. Showered, applied Proraso green pre-shave cream, lathered up some Proraso green soap and then proceeded, using almost zero pressure because I was intimidated by the more aggressive plate. First pass, WTG, AMAZING! Smooth as silk! Second pass, ATG, AMAZING! No razor burn, extremely close shave, BBS, one extremely minor weeper that stopped with cold water. Even my neck, which typically gets pretty irritated, felt fantastic. Finished up with Proraso green after shave and I was grinning from ear to ear. My only regret is that I didn't buy this razor first, years ago when I switched from cartridges to DE.
