UPDATE: Worked for 30 days then stopped
UPDATE 5/24/23: Asurion approved my claim over the phone but never sent email confirmation with return info, which turned out to be a good thing, because Elsys finally got back to me 3 weeks later via email. They apologized for an internal issue that kept them from accessing customer emails, and have been VERY helpful over the phone since. They explained there was an issue with AT&T as a carrier in particular, and that I needed to do a software upgrade to use my AT&T SIM card. However, since I couldn't connect over AT&T, I had to wait three days for a random "connected without internet" to happen so I could login to the Amplimax IP address and do the upgrade. Internet is now back, but it keeps disconnecting every hour or so which is fixed by powering the Amplimax on and off. Customer support is currently looking into why and seeing what settings (APN) might need to be changed to fix this. So even with internet back they are still trying to help improve the service. Very glad they reached out and the troubleshooting help! FYI for anyone using Verizon data plans, they said they are in the process of working out a few kinks with Verizon, so if you're having trouble use T-Mobile or AT&T. And/or do a software upgrade if you're having issues when everything else seems to be working. ************************************************************************************************************************* At first the modem worked like a gem right out of the box. Did the signal scan and saw At&T was the strongest at 88%, bought a prepaid AT&T cellular tablet data plan, popped the SIM card and was FINALLY able to use a VPN for my work and have strong Zoom calls. I was so excited to have a solution to rural internet. However, after a month the device stopped working. There's no error message about the SIM card, my data plan is active, my router has no error messages and the wifi network still pops up, but any device I try to connect says "Connected without internet." I even bought another prepaid plan thought H20 wireless (a sub company of At&T) to try. It randomly connected for 24 hours one day, but that was it. So now I'm paying for two prepaid plans and the modem is not working with either. I emailed Elsys customer support a week ago, but no response. My Amazon return window expire two weeks prior to the device failing, so now I'm trying to replace it through the Asurion protection plan I bought through Amazon. Fingers crossed, because this WAS the best internet I've had out here in the country (wait listed for Starlink, satellite internet has extremely high latency and speeds less than 10 mbps, no fiber optic options out here.) If customer support was better there might be a way to further troubleshoot, but I've tried everything in the manual that came with the modem and the manual I found on their website. Great concept, but it needs tweaking and/or better customer support to actually work.

So far, so good!
I bought this to replace the Verizon wireless modem I was using at a remote rural property. The internet performance was mediocre at best with frequent drops. I bought a SIM card at Verizon and started a new data plan so I could use ELSYS. Setup was relatively easy using an external pole mount from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B217C418,) and the results are tremendous. It was easy to determine the location of the best signal and orient the antenna. The improvement was noticeable and I'm now able to live stream from my cameras remotely with almost not delay. Only time will tell as to how weather-proof the antenna is, but right now, I'm extremely pleased.

No AT&T compatibility.
This has been a terrible experience. The router recognizes a good signal from AT&T using its embed browser page but it never sends a readable signal to any device I connected to. There is no US support. I connected to Brazilian support and they have no idea about this US product. I updated the firmware from the website but no benefit. The tech support person said they didn't know how to help and we're unfamiliar with the product.

Device will does not see the inserted active SIM card. No real support.
Many reviews across the internet had good things to say about this 4G Modem. I recieved my device and when unpacked the device box seal was broken and clearly the device had been opened. Unpacked the device and sure enough the lower part of the sealing plastic wrap was torn off the unit. Unit did not appear to be damaged. Followed the directions for set up and activation. Checked for signals around me and found a 100% signal with the carrier I was using. Shutdown the device and inserted the SIM card and restarted the unit. Device did not find the SIM card. I checked that it was inserted properly and seated properly. All was correct. Device still did not find the SIM. You can't do much unless the device finds the SIM. I checked with two other active SIM cards and the device did not find them either. I contacted support via the only method given and have heard nothing from them. Such a disappointment a device with such promise did not perform. I will happily amend this review if support is able to resolve this issue. I will keep the reviews posted. ***UPDATE*** Elsys make contact and advised to return the unit. It is in route back to Amazon. Not sure if I will reorder the same product. 2nd Update: Recieved the replacement unit. It is working as it should and works amazingly well. I have upgraded my rating to a full five star as the replacement unit is working better than expected. Thanks for the support Elsys and Amazon.

Better than my old modem
I bought this to replace a KuFi sim card modem/router....I use CC with ATT as my provider....after a quick call to activate my sim card, that I picked up at Target, the Elsys worked okay attached to a TP-Link router...I then shut it down in order to pack it up for a trip to a remote cabin...I then decided instead to boot it back up and do some speed tests....Problem...it couldn't read my sim card....I waited and after 30 minutes. I called CC again.....do this, do that, shut it off, turn it on...no good....they apologiized but nothing they could do as it is not a phone, but an accessory...I gave up and just left it plugged in with the TP-Link router....another couple hours later it began to work!....So, just so you know, it takes a very long time to read your sim card after a shut down....and it will need a router attached with an ethernet cable. Now, as far as the speed goes....At the cabin in the Adirondack Park....I usually get zero to one bar on my phone....speed around 2 mbps....with this Elsys attached 20 feet up on a pole...I am now receiving speeds up to 33mbps, through wifi....I can watch videos through the firestick in 1080p...amazingly clear...FYI....a good way to check your speed is using the firestick....go to settings, wifi, signal strength, click on speed test....Good Luck!

Great solution for dedicated LTE Internet in rural locations with limited coverage
Finally something that works! I've owned several different models of the Netgear Nighthawk products and while they are fast and fancy, they don't seem to offer the reliability that this dedicated device can provide. - I already had SIM cards for T-Mobile and Verizon, but was very impressed with the carrier scanning capabilities. Ideally you'd purchase this thing first and find out the best carrier and location for mounting before getting service and a SIM card and this device allows you to do that. - I ended up mounting this to a ladder with zip ties so I could move it around my property until I found the best location and orientation. The signal strength wasn't always perfectly consistent since I'm on the fringe of these networks range, and some fine tuning during storms seemed to help. - The POE is extremely helpful for me since I can do a custom Ethernet cable from this antenna right to my network shack. - As much as I'd love this thing to have an awesome wifi access point built in, I can't help but wonder if that's one of the issues with the other products that are out there with so much tech and wireless packed into a single device. The router capabilities are pretty decent, but I ended up using a dedicated wifi router for most everything on my network which will hopefully mean that I can leave this thing alone.

Very Pleasantly Surprised
I had this unit for over a month and have been pleasantly surprised. I purchased this in order to get faster and more reliable internet in our home. I browsed the instructions, connected the wires, plugged it in and it started beeping and flashing the data. At the time, the only SIM cards I had were in my cell phones. I did not expect them to work (see other peoples reviews) because they were both Verizon. One is a pre-paid plan and the other was a postpaid plan. I tried them both and they both surprisingly worked great. However, getting a dedicated SIM card was the tricky part for me. I wanted to get a SIM with a data plan only. I tried to get home internet from Verizon, t-mobile, at&t as well as all the usual suspects. They all responded with the same message, "Not Available in your area", to which I responded, "then can you just sell me a SIM card" and their response was, "look, what your doing won't work". However, the wonderful woman at T-Mobile took me to the side and told me to call their customer service number. She said they could help me. I researched the plans and found an unlimited premium data plan (Magenta Max). I contacted t-mobile and explained that I needed a SIM card that would be compatible in both devices (I made sure I had the IMEI numbers for both devices). They sent it to me, I inserted it and haven't looked back. This product has been a reasonable solution to my rural internet issue.

It says all US Carriers.... But read my review
I have had mine for a 3 weeks now and still haven't gotten it to work. I put in a Verizon Sim card that I was using in a Jetpack. I've been going back and forth with them and this was the last response I received. "Looking at your picture I conclude your configuration is correct. Your Amplimax is registered on the Verizon network, but they didn’t give you an internet connection. If your plan is working correctly, I’m afraid there is nothing else to be done. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee Amplimax works with Verizon. Would you consider using another carrier?" Haven't had a chance to try another carrier. T-Mobile is not even in my area. I Will update the review if anything different happens. It is not compatible with Verizon even though it shows it as the strongest provider. Couldn't get it to work, however, Elsys provided all the support needed to try and solve issue. They gave me a full refund.

Espero funcione
Necesito contactar a la empresa. Seguinos pasos y si, logre el sitio de mejor señal, pero a la hora de enlazar la antena a mis dispositivos no se detecta
