Excellent product
The perfect cream for my face condition. I like that is organic and leaves my face smooth without oily feeling. I don’t need any other product but this one. Amazing!

Meh
I actually didn’t pay attention to the size of this so boy was I surprised when I opened this up and saw the bottle was smaller than my finger. Price is hefty for a small volume. This claims to get rid of redness left by old pimples within 5 weeks. Within 5 weeks. Some spots can fade withing 5 weeks on their own so this isn’t really a bold claim. I’ve used this for almost 4 weeks straight on one stubborn scar from a pretty bad zit I had under the skin, and my spot looks only slightly better, but after a month it looks like I expect it to had I not used any product. I thought about sharing a pic but decided since it made pretty much no difference that I didn’t need to gross anyone out for no reason. There is no scent to the product in my opinion – you’re using such a tiny amount for a spot that I expect the scent to be negligible anyway. The consistency is like a lotion. And it absorbs quickly. This isn’t something you’d use on your whole face or you’d go through it very quickly.I just didn’t seen any benefits to this.

Very effective and easy to use, plus it's cruelty-free!
I love using this product as a spot treatment for acne scars, or for any areas of redness or hyperpigmentation. It definitely lightens those marks on my face (or anywhere, really). The bottle is small, but provides plenty of product to fade my annoying 'ghost spots'--those red marks left behind by a pimple. It's easy to use, has no noticeable scent, and plays well with the other products in my skincare routine. It's especially easy to use at night; I just dab a tiny dot of it onto any darker area after cleansing and toning. When it dries, I apply any serum or targeted treatment I might be using, followed by a moisturizing cream or lotion.I think this stuff is pretty fairly priced, particularly since it works so reliably. Best of all, it's 100% cruelty-free, and even certified as such by PETA. Yay!!

Worked pretty well to de-redden a deep acne scar.
I have a single boxcar acne scar on my shoulder. It looks like someone put a cigarette out on my back (they didn’t). It is too deep for anything other than plastic surgery but the center is always very red. I used this for 2 week on the skin in the center and I found a noticeable reduction in the color. It also softened and hydrated the texture of the inner aspect of the scar making it less obvious.Topicals can’t work miracles but I was definitely impressed that this made a difference.

Fades red spots
I have mature, fair skin. I still get the occasional whopper of a zit and while I medicate them and pamper them till they're gone, they always leave a red spot on my face. A spot that seems to always shine through concealer or foundation. ugh. Hate them.I've tried a couple of spot fading products that haven't worked. Then I got this one and one other at the same time so I decided to use one product specifically on one spot and the other product on another specific spot. After a couple weeks of use, I'm getting traction on the spot I'm using the Clearly Basics Lighten Up. Huzzah! That pesky spot is finally fading. This product is a winner for my particular issue.

Good companion product with Clear Out
This comes in an outer product box. It is made in Singapore. It is non-comedogenic, vegan, fragrance free, colorant free, paraben free, and cruelty free. This says that it is “for the annoying red marks that linger long after a breakout, this formulation is telling them it’s time to go.” It says it is “chock full of healing essential oils like pracaxi, chamomile, and calendula. Lighten Up works by hydrating and soothing your skin in order to fade the appearance of red marks. For application, it says to apply a thin layer 2x per day as a spot treatment on affected areas. Dab onto spots using a clean fingertip or cotton pad until fully absorbed. Apply Clear Out or other products on top after applying Lighten Up. For morning and nighttime use. I thought it was odd that it said to apply Lighten Up first and then apply the Clear Out on TOP of this. I would think you’d want the Clear Out on bottom, right on top of the problem, and then apply the Lighten Up over it? But, I’m glad I read the instructions for use because that’s not how I would have done it!I was expecting this to kind of be thin and maybe like a gel consistency, but it is a cream consistency. It’s really creamy and glides onto the skin easily. A little goes a long way, which is good because the bottle is pretty small (0.5 fl oz compared to the 1.05 ml that came on the 2 other products of theirs I’ve tried in the past). It feels moisturizing, which I like. It doesn’t help redness instantly. I thought with the ingredients it would help reduce redness right away, but I didn’t notice that.I use Clear Out for Acne Prone Skin and had been loving it, so I was excited to give this a try! I’m glad I was already using Clear Out because the product page for this says - “This is a companion product to Clear Out. Buy Clear Out first before Lighten Up. With Clear Out + Lighten Up at work, you should see a significant reduction in the appearance of post-acne red marks after five weeks of use.” So it implies that it won’t work well on its own, or at least will take longer. So, I’m glad I was already using Clear Out!So far I can’t speak to long term results. I do think this helps using it with the Clear Out to stop breakouts and to help heal them up quicker. I was initially just using the Clear Out and it did help keep most breakouts away, but when I would still get one it seemed to help clear it up quicker than if I wasn’t using it. But, I would still end up with a red spot that would take a bit to go away. Since I’ve been using Lighten Up with it, the red spots seem to go away quicker. So, I do think this is helping. But, I think it’s pretty pricey. It’s a small bottle, but it doesn’t take much so I do feel like it’ll last me a while. If you’re using it over a lot of areas, it could go quicker so you’d have to decide if the price is worth it for you with how long it would last for you. For me, I am going to give it 3 stars for now. I will update my review and change my rating after I’ve used it for longer and can see how it works more long term. I definitely think if you’re going to get this, it’s best to get the Clear Out to use with it since it says it’s meant to be used with it. Of course, any brand can say that just to get you to buy more of their products. I haven’t tried this on it’s own, but I do think it works well with the Clear Out.

Great
This cream won't solve all your acne problems but it definitely will help.Nice ingredients, clean, and safe to use. A ton of refreshing and soothing elements. Those with a breakout, it will help soothe and lighten the tone. Those with mild acne, it'll help soothe and help quick the recovery process.Works as it intended but isn't a cure to all acne problems.
