Game Genie Video Game Enhancer

I hate when Nintendo NES video games are just stupid hard. Well this device was the ultimate solution to that problem back in 1990. I had to get a Game Genie to be able to beat some of my favorite classic NES video games. Mine came with a few minor scratches & was a little dirty, but works flawlessly every time I use it. I only received the Game Genie device by itself & didn't come with a code book, but I already have a Game Genie code book anyways that has every single code there is for NES video games so it wasn't a big deal to me. The product came in less than a week & was packaged very well by the seller "awesomebrad" & came to my home without any damage. I received the gold colored version of the Game Genie instead of the black colored version & I was happy I got the gold version. For the price that I payed for the Game Genie ($23.18 with free shipping) it was well worth the cost & then some, just to get to be able to beat my favorite games finally after all these years. I would certainly buy from seller "awesomebrad" again, without any doubt.

The NES era saw probably some of the crappiest and most frustratingly hard games ever. When I first read about the Game Genie I was overjoyed. When I first bought one, I was floored with amazement! So many games on the NES that were so hard or poorly designed that a kid could never beat them. Enter the Game Genie. Infinite lives, infinite health, infinite ammo! This thing made you a God! It's easy as ever to use, simply put it in the NES, connect your games to it and start inputting codes!The Game Genie was also good for getting around an NES that had the dying pin connector inside, which would often cause the blinking screen and not allow you to play your games. The Game Genie could usually make a better connection into the NES, then you could just leave it inside and connect all of your games via the Game Genie.One of the greatest inventions of the 20th century and I might say greatest video game peripheral ever! A+

the nes game genie works but the strap on the game was broke off and was not there.... my only problem with that is it will fit snug into the system and then when u pull the game out the game genie gets stuck inside, so i basicly have to leave it in or take apart the system just to take out the game genie, so it kinda needs that strap, i give this a 3 starts as it dose work but is tecnicly broke and hard to remove, also it came before estimated delivery date so that was good too..... but still hard to use...

It worked just like the one I had as a kid. The only complaint is it didn't come with the code book but google it and you can find any code fast.

When I ordered this, I was under the impression that it also came with the booklet, it didn't. You have to order it seperitly. I don't know as to why. There's really no point in having it, if you don't have to booklet. That's like buying a car without the steering wheel. I'd try to look up on may sites where you can find the codes yourself, but to no avail. Not all the games in the booklet has where you can level skip. Like Double Dragon, you can put 9 lives and all, but no level skip. The game genie works, but be sure to also buy the booklet.

Just like any NES game. Never works until you blow the dust off the gold prongs inside the game. With this one I had to use a cutip 2 or 3 cleanings. It works like a champ now. Remember keep your games covered, cleaned and it will work like new every time.

My son, 11YRS, abosultely loves the game genie, the codes help him get through some of the difficult games he originally tossed to the side. This is a must have for serious gamers. We purchased the NES game genie to use with our Hyperlink Retron 3 game system, the game genie works great with it no compatibility issues at all. Cheat codes are all online, so if you can pick a game genie up cheat without the code book its not a big deal.
